"Now it is time for the Hydro Archon to show you her courage and resolve! I, Furina, will use this trial to show the world the true meaning of justice!" She declared, however, in her heart she probably already had some inkling of how the trial would go, yet she swore to herself to protect the denizens of Fontaine.

Walking even closer to the edge of the Opera's stage, Furina shrugged her shoulders and regarded the audience with a smirk, her hands raised as though to incite some extra form of admiration from the antsy people sitting in the audience. "Applaud and rejoice! For one of the most outrageous and fantastical arcs known to the Opera Epiclese is now unfolding before your very eyes!"

Giving them a small spin for effect, she placed a hand to her chest and bowed, her voice tinged by easily discernable excitement. "Mark my words! This shall be one of the most exhilarating and brilliant shows ever to grace the stage of Fontaine. The trial of the Hydro Archon, Focalors, will now begin!"

"Woo-hoo!"

"Now we're making history!"

Members of the audience began clapping and cheering, sitting on the edges of their respective seats while watching as Furina ascended the stairs leading to the defendant's side of the court room.

"The prosecution and the defense are both in position. The trial shall now begin." The Iudex of the court declared, his expression unaffected by the happenings in the court.

Cutting in, Furina laughed, her voice full of so much cheer and unlike the voice belonging to someone who was being charged with crimes as she placed her arms akimbo. "Oh, come on, Neuvillette. There's no need to repeat all the unimportant legalese. Just fast forward to the part where the prosecution lays out my offenses. As the defendant and the lead actress of this performance, I still haven't even been informed of my supposed guilt in all of this."

"Of course, it is only natural for humans to struggle to understand the actions of a god. However, you will need more than that to convict me of a crime."

The traveler spoke up, their arms crossed. "That's true, but my charge here is unrelated to your conduct as an Archon. Instead, I would like to charge you as a fraud who's never been the Archon in the first place."

Murmurs arose from the audience, gasps of surprise falling from the lips of the citizens present in the Opera.

"Wait... Lady Furina's a fraud?"

"I came here thinking we were going to try the Hydro Archon for forsaking her duty, but did I hear that right?"

"She's not our Archon at all??!"

Nodding with a solemn expression on his face, Neuvillette responded to the traveler's words. "Charge accepted."

"Lady Furina..... Do you plead guilty to the charge??" He asked, directing his gaze to the defendant and fixing her with a pointed stare that betrayed nothing of what he was feeling.

Furina glanced down at her feet, wondering how it was that she ended up in this position, but decided to keep her bravado sky high, hoping for the best of the situation.

"I plead not guilty. How can I be guilty??" She asked, her eyes narrowed at the judge as she continued, her tone firm and confident as she spoke, trying to cover up the fact that her deepest secret was about to be exposed.

"There is no way that I, Focalors, otherwise known as Furina de Fontaine, a member of The Seven, and the Regina of All Waters, kindreds, Peoples and Laws of Fontaine, could be anything other than your true Archon."

Turning to the audience, she scoffed and raised her voice to enable them hear her properly. "I have cause to believe that common sense will prevail in this case. Many of the members of the audience have known me as the Hydro Archon ever since they were born. There would be no fooling their memories. See?"
