Minjeong's POV

She is really my soulmate. I mean, she's taking me to a soccer game. And no matter how much she fights with me, I still love her. That girl can sometimes get on my nerves, but damn she's a goddess.

Jimin's POV

At the soccer match

We're in the middle of the stadium. The perfect view. You can see the goals on both sides, the players clearly and it's not right in front of your eyes, and your don't have to squint just to see the grass on the field. The game was South Korea vs Taiwan.

It was a dull day, with clouds filling up the sky, and the air humid. Me and Winter (Minjeong said her favourite season was winter, so I should call her that) were walking hand in hand in the never-ending queue for people to hurry up and get in their seats.

I caught Winter marvelling at the players practising while kicking the ball to each other. The game was due to start anytime soon. Finally, after what seemed like hours of waiting in the heat-stunned stadium, we sat down in our seats.

I had never watched soccer matches in real life, just at home by myself.  I stared out onto the field, the green grass, and the ball. The soccer ball. I marvelled for some time about how that ball could be used for so many things. To kick, to throw, to catch. It's possibly endless. I looked at the players jerseys, their numbers and the bold black stripes on their backs. The teeth coverers (i don't know what to call it) they wear inside their mouths.

And then a loud screech filled the sky. The whistle. The players immediately jumped into action. It was like they had been switched on, like a lightbulb going from off to on. Who was going to get the ball first? A look of determination flashed through both team's eyes. Taiwan had gotten the ball. They kicked around for quite sometime, until one of the Koreans snatched it away.

A roar came from the crowd, cheers, and people's hands in the air. Most of the people here were supported Korea. I watched as the ball weaved around the field, until finally someone scored a goal. It was Taiwan, and a large boo erupted from the crowd. And then suddenly a South Korean snatches the ball, charges to the other side, and kicks it in. The loudest noise I've ever heard entered my ears. I joined in, just happy to be there.

And then I needed to go to the bathroom. I told Minjeong, and slowly excused myself. My throat was parched from screaming as well ; I needed desperate water. I followed the signs to the toilets, and found a giant line. Resigned to my fate, I joined the back of the line with another person following behind me.

I looked at the girl, staring down at her phone, and then she caught me looking at her. Her contacts were this bright blue.

"Hi," she said casually.

"Erm-hi," I replied, suddenly nervous.

"I'm Meiling," she said putting her phone in her pocket. "You wanna talk?"

"Yeah, I guess," craning my neck to look at the queue. And then I realised I hadn't told her my name. "I'm Jimin."

"Nice name," she smiled, and it sent my heart pounding.

"So, um, which side are you supporting?"

"Isn't it obvious?" she smirked. I looked at her t-shirt. It was filled with pictures of the Taiwanese players.

"Oh-yeah," I mumbled. And then I burst into a coughing fit.

"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" she looked startled. "Do you need water?"

"I'm fine."

"We could go to the cafe near by and get it," she insisted, taking my hand and dragging me to the cafe. I didn't feel anything when I touched that hand. It just felt like two friends holding hands. Nothing more. She quickly bought me a bottle of water and some coffee.

"Drink up," she chuckled and she led me to a table.

"I really have to get going," I said, with urgency in my voice. "My friend is waiting for me." Why did I say friend? That was my girlfriend. But I didn't fix anything I had said, no matter how much my brain was killing me to.

"It's fine."

"Hey, thanks for that," I grinned, ignoring her comment. "You're a lifesaver." I couldn't help but noticed that she blushed.

"You're so pretty," she whispered. She flipped her hair. I found my face going alarmingly red. "Since I'm such a lifesaver, why don't we be friends?"

"Well, I'm probably not going to see you after this," I pointed to the stadium and the cafe.

"I could give you my number," she answered. No matter how much for Winter I didn't want to do this, but I found myself giving her my phone to put my number in.

"I never thought about that."

"I'm going to go pay the bill," she said standing up and going away. What was I doing?

"I think I should go back," I murmured as she came back.

"Call me or text me whenever you need to. I'll give you my address if you ever need to come over. Remember, I'm your lifesaver." She winked. I felt literal butterflies running up my spine. I ran back to Winter, and so I wouldn't lose her, I hugged her until I was sure I only loved her.

"You were gone for so long," she mumbled through my shoulder. I let her words get muffled on my shoulder.

"There was a really long queue for the bathroom, so I had to wait for SO long," I lied. Why did I lie? What was seriously wrong with me.

"You were gone for so long, that South Korea literally won already!" she giggled, but she thought nothing of my absence. "Well then, let's go home.

"Just saying, I'm going to one of my friends houses tomorrow, you know from my old school," I informed her as we started filing out. I also lied about that. I was thinking of meeting Meiling.

"Oh, what's her name?"

"Meiling." That was the only truth I told her. I was scared that if she ever figured out I made a new friend, a girl, that I liked her, and not Winter. That was never going to be true. Me and Meiling were just friends. Right?
