Falling With You

Chapter 1: Together Forever

Smg4 began struggling in his chair as he was being held down by these tentacles, forcing him to stay put and get back to editing. Smg3 runs back and looks at his counterpart. "Smg4!? What's going on?!" He exclaims in panic with a hint of anger. Smg4 continues to struggle, "Dammit..I...I don't think I can leave.." He sounds defeated, looking back at Smg3. "What!? Forget your stupid video!!" Smg3 tries reasoning with his friend. "No, I mean..I physically won't be allowed to leave 'til I finish this video.." Smg4 explains, gesturing to the tentacles holding him down. He sighs and faces away from Smg3, looking at his computer. "You should go." He calmly says as he begins typing away on the cursed keyboard. "What!? This is crazy!!" Smg3 yells, not happy with the idea of leaving his friend behind. Smg4 stops typing and speaks sadly, "Smg3...Please go.." he faces Smg3 again, tears forming in his eyes. "This is entirely my fault, and I'll suffer whatever fate is in my way," he looks back at his laptop with a sad smile "At least I'll go down doing what I love..." 

Smg3 smacks Smg4, which shocked him as he looked back at Smg3. "You idiot! You think after all these years of rivalry, after I pretty much went through a whole Vegeta character arc, I'm just going to let you die?!" Smg3 yells, "HOW SELFISH IS THAT?!" he breathes out. Smg4 looks at him with a shocked and sad expression. He never knew Smg3 felt that way, but he didn't want to bring him down for the mistakes he made. Before he could protest, Smg3 slides a chair over, sitting next to Smg4 and bringing out his laptop. Smg4 looks at him in disbelief, "Wh-What are you doing?" he asks. Smg3 looks at him, eyes filled with determination "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm going to help you finish this video." Smg4 looks at him, shocked again. That shock quickly turned into determination as well. Now, both 3 and 4 were quickly typing away on their laptops, trying to finish this cursed video.

What felt like hours were actually just quick minutes of the pair typing away. "Almost done 3.." Smg4 smiles at him. They were actually going to finish and escape this hell! Or at least..they thought they were. Just as Smg3 and Smg4 were about to finish typing, a huge piece of ceiling collapsed on Smg4's computer. The two began freaking out. "No! Dammit we were so close..!!" Smg4 yelled in desperation. Smg3 pushes the rocks away, but Smg4's computer was destroyed, including all of his hard work. "Piece of shit!!" Smg3 yelled in anger. "There's still my laptop 4! We can't give up!" He said as he sat back down and began working on the video again. Smg4 looked at him with sad eyes, grabbing his arm and shaking his head, "Smg3.. there's still time for you to go.. please.." Smg3 looked at him with intense confusion. "Are you crazy?! I am NOT leaving you!"

Smg4 just gave him a sad smile, "This is it for me Smg3..we can't finish the video..save yourself..at least one of the meme guardians have to live to tell the story right..?" he said, trying to lighten up the mood as tears streamed down his face. Smg3 frowned, "Smg4 I..I can't leave you.. we're friends!! I'm not abandoning my friends!" he said as he got up and tried to free Smg4 from the tentacles. "Come on man! We can't give up!" he said between strained breathes as he pulled the tentacles. Smg4 shook his head and pushes Smg3 away "Smg3 listen to me! YOU NEED TO GO!!" he yelled, more tears falling. Smg3 went back to pulling the tentacles "No!" he yelled, "My mind is made up!" The two went on like this for minutes, Smg3 still refusing to leave. Smg3 looked up, seeing more of the ceiling falling close to them. Instead of trying to free Smg4, he shields him from the falling debris. Smg4 looks up as well, understanding now why Smg3 was shielding him. "Smg3 no! It's too late for me! Please listen to me!!" he tries pushing Smg3 away once more.

But Smg3 refused. Smg4 only now realizes that Smg3 was willing to go down with him, even to the brink of death. Having to leave his friends back on the surface, and bringing his counterpart to their demise, all he did now was cry on Smg3, regretting everything. Smg3 held and tried his best to comfort Smg4. Despite agreeing to stay, he didn't want to die. But he was willing to die with someone he cared about. The debris continued to fall, and Smg4 began apologizing to Smg3 for everything. Smg3 wipes his tears " 4.. everything will be alright.." he softly said. Smg4 shook his head "This is all my fault!! Our friends! Our home! OUR LIVES!!" He sobbed "All gone because of me!!" Smg4 held a tight grip on Smg3, while he gently played with his hair. Smg4 looks up again and sees a huge piece of ceiling falling directly towards Smg3.

"SMG3 MOVE!!"

But instead, Smg3 closed his eyes, awaiting the impact, and accepting his fate.
