"Good evening, ma'am! Welcome to Nirvana", I was greeted as I stepped out of the car in front of the club.
I thanked the person and gave him the keys to park the car. I had never been to this club, but I had heard a lot of good and bad things about it. There are parties and then there are after-party things which are both crazy and thrilling.
I saw Vikram talking to the manager in a very friendly manner. It seemed like they knew each other very well; otherwise, why would a club manager talk with him so friendly? Maybe it's just Vikram's charm that he can make anyone like him? Maybe, I don't know.
"Can I have your ID and pass, please, ma'am?" the door person asked. "Oh, yeah, yes, here it is," I replied, grabbing it from my purse and giving it to him.
"Oh, you are with Vikram sir, no worries ma'am, sorry please go ahead."
I said, "That's okay, you don't have to be sorry for asking for the pass."
"It is not like that, madam. We don't ask for passes for Vikram sir's event."
"Well, why is that?" I asked.
"It's a long story, ma'am. This way, please," he said, opening the door for me with his tattooed hands, which reminded me of the same tattoo Vikram has. Anyways, with a smile, I entered the club. A loud bass sound hit me as I entered. The loud bass sound made me stop for a moment and adjust myself to the environment.
The vibes in the club seemed amazing! The glowing lights everywhere, the bar counter with handsome and skilled bartenders doing their things, syncing with the music, and the bottles behind them added to the good vibes. The music and the lights automatically brought a smile to my face. A club is a place where once you enter, you forget about your worries and stress for at least some time. The same happened with me; I rushed myself to the place where my colleagues were sitting.
We greeted each other. Meena was already there, having her drinks. She welcomed me with a warm hug and smile. "You look amazing," I said to her.
"Oh, come on, look who's talking. You look drop-dead gorgeous, Maya," she complimented me.
After some girly chitchat, we settled down.
Four sofas were arranged for us with a big coffee-table in the center, with a lot of booze and smoke on it. The guys and girls had already started their drinks, and a few were on the dance floor. I sat near Meena. Vikas was already on the dance floor; it seemed like he already had 2-3 drinks.
The junior team's seating arrangement was done in another room; I could hear their loud noise.
"So..." I looked at Meena, letting out a big sigh.
"So... it's party time!" she said, lifting her glass of wine up in the air.
We both laughed!
I grabbed a pint of beer. "Where is Vikram?" I said to myself.
I don't know why, but today I didn't feel like drinking. I wanted to see him first and at least talk to him about something. Last night's scenes were so intense that my heart started racing faster as I saw him approaching us.
"Here comes Vikram," Meena said.
"Yeah," I said, adjusting my dress and my seating position.
"Congrats, man!" everyone greeted him with a firm handshake. He had that mischievous smile on his face that made my heart beat faster. Meena moved forward and greeted him, but he didn't move an inch!
I too had to stand up and greet him. I stood and greeted him with a handshake. He looked into my eyes, as if he was looking into my soul. His warm, firm hand held mine. Oh my god, his grip is so strong and rough! His gaze was making me wet, I could feel it! How in the world can a man make me feel this way with just looks and his smile?
