I wake to the sound of my daughter giggling, her sweet voice floating through the air, and I know it's time to face the day.

I roll out of bed, my body stiff and sore from the night before. But when I look over at myself in the mirror, I feel a warmth spread through me, a contentment that I've never known.

"Mama, you were on the phone late last night," Shreya said, rubbing her eyes as she walked towards me.

"Yes, baby, Mama had to call someone," I replied, taking her close."You were calling Vikram, does he work with you?"My face turned red. "Oh my goodness, did she hear my moans or what?"

"No, baby, I wasn't calling Vikram. I was calling Meena," I said, faking it and kissed her forehead."No, Mumma, you were calling Vikram. I heard similar words," she argued.

"No, baby, come on. You're getting late for school. Go get your brush and freshen up. Mumma will prepare food till then," I said to her, pushing her into the washroom.

I took a deep breath and smiled, then I realized how intense yesterday's session would have been.

I smiled again and looked in the mirror. Did I look different? Did something happen to me?Was it whiskey? Was it a good night's sleep? Or was it something else? I smiled and mumbled, "Vikram..."

I went onto the gallery to see the sunrise, and it felt so good. I felt so fresh and relaxed after so many weeks.

The city was waking up; everyone was busy rushing to work, doing tasks they never wanted to do.I let out a sigh and muttered, "Work!" My eyebrows went up as I quickly sat at the coffee table with a cup of coffee and opened the laptop.

I checked through all the emails, surprisingly finding none addressed to me. I wondered what could have happened in the office when I left. Anyway, I thought, I'll figure that out.

"Mama, I am all done," she said, looking at me."Dress up, sweetheart," I said to her, going into the kitchen and starting to make her lunch.

Today, I was feeling so energetic and free despite having to go and fix errors in the report and talk to Meena and Vikas about the errors. I wasn't stressed at all.

I prepared her lunchbox and bagged it. Then, I said to her, "Come on, baby, time for the day." We went down to the parking and hopped into the car. I put on the radio, and while listening to the news, we started cruising to her school.

I kissed her goodbye for the day and started driving towards my office. My mind started racing, and last night's scenes began flashing in front of me.

Vikram standing on the balcony, I was drunk and my touches... I got shivers on my body, and I let out a laugh looking at the mirror in the car.

"Maya, you naughty, what were you doing last night, huh? Was it good?" I just nodded. "Was it exciting? Hell yeah." Was it right? I thought for a second. I don't know, and I didn't want to answer myself.

I had been waiting for my husband's reply for the last four days. Not a single call and not a single message. I dialed him on my way to the office just to check if all was good with him.

It started ringing, but he didn't answer. I redialed, then he picked it up."What the hell, Rohit? Where have you been? It's been four days, not a single message or reply?" I asked him, almost shouting.

"Maya, it's been a busy week. I was about to call you, but then something came up."

"You don't have time for your family," I said to myself, listening to him. I didn't want to start the day fighting.

Alright but atleast you should call and talk to Shreya she was worried yar! I said to him.

He promissed to call in the night. I hung up the phone after saying him good bye. I was near the office I parked my car and went to the elevator I hopped in and went to our floor.

I rushed to my cabin and prepared a coffee for me and I was all set to start my day!
