With Blaze, she made it to the Barrier Stone in a section of the Deep Woods called the Shrouded Forest. It was like wintertime, as the leaves and plants were colored white and it had flowers that faintly resembled crystals. There were Knights of the Underworld as Vanilla had said but she was able to defeat them.
The Princess made it to a cave with an opening in the top. There a large platform in the shape of a Celtic cross with a smaller round platform in the middle which is surrounded by smaller rocks. In the center there is a tall and flat pillar with a round top and a low podium at the foot.
"This has to be a Barrier Stone." Blaze commented.
Blaze then inserted Laevatein in the podium with a battle cry. The pillar glowed red with some ancient Spagonian inscriptions appearing.
"'This stone is but part of the ring that sealeth the Dark Hollow.'" Blaze translated. That made Blaze wonder if Merlina was up to something even more cruel. "Dark Hollow? What's Merlina up to now?"
She turned to the sky as she looked at the purple sky. "Sonic. Where ever you are... Please be okay."
The feline then took her sword out of the podium and went off to the castle.
With Whisper, she had made it to a large prisoner camp called the Great Megalith, it was located in a mountain somewhere around a large, grassy area with large rocks called the Titanic Plain. Knights of the Underworld as well as trolls had blocked her way but she was able to take them out. She made it to the inside and found another Barrier Stone.
"Here it is." She said.
The wolf howled and pierced her swords: Galatine, into the podium. Like before the pillar glowed red with some ancient Spagonian inscriptions appearing.
"'When the sacred sword pierces stone, so shall return the power.'" Whisper translated. That made her wonder about Arthur's sword. "What about Excalibur? The Greatest of all the Sacred Swords? I've seen the sword's Scabbard before... But I've never actually got to see the sword. No one even knows what it even looked like."
Whisper then took out her blades and headed off to the castle.
With Espio, he had made it to a volcano like area called the Molten Mine in the kingdom's Outlands. The Barrier Stone's residence was The Cauldron, a location of the mine. Knight of the Underworld as well as fire giants called Fire Golems. Once inside, he found the Barrier Stone.
"This must be it." He commented.
With a battle cry, Espio thrusted his sword: Arondight, into the podium. Instead of reading the inscriptions, Espio merely took out his sword once the stone was active.
"Our fates are now in our hands." Espio declared.
With that, the chameleon had left to the castle. Back with Vanilla and the others, Ray had kept the pets company with Mighty and Silver watching on. The Babylon Rogues were seen with Vector talking to Vanilla and Facile.
"Hey, Mrs. Vanilla?" Jet asked.
That got her attention. "Yes?"
"Can you and the King tell us about these 'Sacred Swords'? We'd like to know what they are." Jet requested.
"Oh? You mean you don't know the swords' abilities?" Facile asked in confusion.
Storm scratched his head as he shook it. "No..."
