From lily pad to lily pad.

From treachery to treachery.

I bounce around while keeping myself safe,

From these rabid creatures that you all call "snakes".

Most of my family gone,

My life seems done,

My last mission is to protect my remaining son.

They bite,

They swallow,

And I pretend not to notice.

I've built an army,

Hiding under the lotus.

Say your prayers now,

For the result will be atrocious.

We'll take your family just like you took ours.

I'll let you watch it happen,

Pinned down to the tree.

Looking up at the stars,

The last thing you'll ever see.

You think I'm just a frog,

But you forget the story.

My family was built off of warriors;

You left me to remain seeking glory.
