At that night Sebastian Dior the youngest son of Dior family (aka one of the richest family of the country) was enjoying with his friends at a bar unaware of the upcoming conundrum which is going to change his life, his career, and everything he had...
As we entered, I noticed Alizée and Nicholas lighting up with excitement. The indoor court was pristine, spacious, perfect for the audience. Though it was my first time here, I found myself liking it. While I'm a basketball fan, Heaven Heights boasts a court of its own, where Liam and I often play.
Suddenly, three young men, around our age, swooped in and enveloped Alizée and Liam in a group hug. "Long time, guys! Ali, where have you been?" one of them inquired.
"Hey, guys! I've been practicing at my own court lately since this place is quite a trek from my house," she replied once they broke apart.
"Phew! Glad to hear you haven't left the game. You won't believe I was just about to call you for a match, and here you are! Talk about good timing," another chimed in with a grin.
"Hey, are these your new buddies?" the one with impressive muscles asked.
"Yeah, let me introduce you," Alizée said, turning toward us.
"So, this is Kai and his brother, Sebastian," she gestured towards us, and we exchanged handshakes.
"And this is Nick," she pointed towards him, but he interjected, "Actually, it's Nicholas, you can call me Nick." and they shook hands.
"Nice to meet you guys, we're Ali's childhood best friends. I'm Edward, this is Samuel, and this is Nathaniel," Edward introduced their group.
"Can we play now?" Samuel asked eagerly.
"Sure, let's grab gear and change. Meet back here in 15 minutes," Alizée suggested, and everyone agreed.
After 15 minutes, they reconvened, all dressed in jerseys and sneakers, ready to hit the court.
"Let's play!" Liam exclaimed with excitement.
"What's the team?" Nicholas inquired.
Before they could decide, a girl's voice chimed in from behind. We turned to see a girl, a boy and a woman approaching—a referee, likely in her 40s, behind her the girl and boy who looked around 15 years old.
"Hey, Ali!" they greeted Alizée with hugs.
"Your friends?" the referee asked, glancing at the group. Alizée nodded, and introductions followed.
"I'm Madeline, and this is my daughter Natalie and her friend Connor. I'm the referee here, and I thought you might need one," Madeline uttered with a grin.
"Yeah, of course, Maddie! I was just about to ask Ed about you," Ali responded.
"Okay, I'm here," Madeline assured.
"Ali, can we join too?" Natalie asked eagerly.
"Yeah, sure. Then it'll be a perfect 5-on-5 match," Ali agreed.
"Thank you!" they exclaimed in unison.
"But what's the team?" Connor asked.
"We can ask Mrs. Madeline; I think she'll suggest a team with good competition," Nicholas suggested.
The teams were divided, and the game commenced. I found myself pleasantly surprised by Alizée's incredible gameplay. Her agility, accuracy, and strength were unmatched. She effortlessly scored four three-pointers and five layups, leaving me in awe (she is looking fucking hotttt I want her so badly). What the fuck I am thinking?! Okay, focus, no need for those distracting thoughts! Connor and Natalie, also have impressive skills as well.
On our team, Edward's defense was solid, Nathaniel's dunks were impressive, but Samuel's speed and ball control were remarkable in their team. Although the opposing team put up a good fight as they have Alizée and Samuel.
As the match ended in a draw, Alizée congratulated everyone with genuine enthusiasm.
"Ali, you were fucking incredible! Have you ever thought about joining the WNBA?" Sebastian asked, his expression reflecting his genuine admiration.
"Thank you, Seb. But I've always wanted to be a psychologist since childhood, so I never really considered it," she explained.
"You truly are amazing, Alizée. And everyone else played exceptionally well too. Edward, Samuel, Nathaniel, you guys were outstanding. And Natalie amd Connor, you were fantastic too. We really enjoyed playing with you all," I expressed my appreciation to both teams.
"We too dude, You guys also played well." Nathaniel said with a grin.
"Let's have lunch together see it's too late." Samuel suggested looking at his phone.
Nicholas took out his phone and exclaimed looking at it "Oh my god! it's already 2 PM now I am so hungry."
"Let's go! I know the best restaurant nearby." Edward remarked and we nodded.

We entered the establishment and were welcomed by a server who escorted us to our table. I observed Alizée growing at ease with Sebastian as they conversed, having evidently bonded during the car ride. It struck me that she might be oblivious to his deeper sentiments, perhaps assuming his acceptance of friendship after her rejection. Oddly, I found myself unsettled by their rapport, perhaps due to concern for her well-being. But why does it matter to me? I've never felt this protective over any girl before. Damn it, Kai, stop overthinking.
"I think we should hang out more often, we really enjoy your company," Nicholas exclaimed.
"Yeah, definitely, you guys are awesome," Edward responded, grinning.
"We're hitting up a club tonight, want to come? Ali's joining us too," Samuel asked, casting a smirk toward Alizée.
"When did you decide this?" Alizée asked, looking surprised.
"We were planning to pick you up straight from your place, but thought it'd be better to give you a heads up," he explained.
"Now she's going to refuse. Why'd you ask her?" Liam muttered.
"I didn't ask, I informed her. She will come, she doesn't have a choice," Samuel replied.
Before she could respond, Nathaniel interrupted, "So, are you in? It'll be a blast," he asked us.
"Yeah, count me in," Nicholas exclaimed.
"Brother let's join them too." Sebastian said excitedly. It's been a while since I've seen him this happy. It's odd he usually gets anxious at the mention of clubs or alcohol, but this time, he's thrilled. Alizée is incredible. She's only met him three times, but she has this calming effect on him. She's fantastic, really.
"Kai," Liam called, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Stop zoning out, just say yes already!" Liam urged.
"Okay, we'll join you. Send me the details," I said.
"Great, it's gonna be epic!" Edward exclaimed happily.
After dinner, we headed home to rest up before heading out again. It's been two months since I last went to a club. These guys are cool, and I've really enjoyed their company. I think tonight will be a blast.
