Chapter 1-Fontaine Arc The Journey Begins And Encountering A Vampire On Sight

Later in the afternoon in Ritou the gang prepared to go to Liyue and the hunters and huntresses immediately said goodbye to their close family and friends before they went for a journey. A journey to slay every vampire and search for a cure, a cure from the person from a Vampire back into a human. They rode the Crux from Inazuma to Liyue, while on their way Heizou was just staring at the sea. Eventually he was approached by Aether "Zozo, Is everything okay?" Aether asked with concern. Heizou was speechless to answer due to his father's death as he told Aether everything is fine and told he doesn't have to be worried about himself. Aether decides to give him space, Lumine looks through the spyglass as she sees the city of contracts she puts the spyglass on her pocket "We're here!" She told the captain. The Crux stopped in a dock of Liyue Harbor. Everyone got off the ship and thanked Beidou for taking them to Liyue. The gang walked while exploring at Liyue Harbor as they heard a gunshot. As they ran to find the sound of the shot they found out a member of the Qixing shot a Vampire. The member told them they can see the owner the next day, since it's already late.

They stayed at a rented house where they got their rooms to stay with just 2 bedrooms. They all fast asleep, before Lumine falls asleep she notices Ayaka was silent this whole day "Ayaka..I know it's really hard..Just believe ourselves that there's a cure to stop the infection." She said Ayaka knew there's hope and told Lumine that everything is gonna be alright. The girls fall asleep with their thoughts thinking of hope and determination. The next day, they were awakened by the funeral parlor's assistant who comes from Fontaine "Good Morning, my fellow ladies and gentlemen. How's your sleep? I hope you don't have any nightmares~" Furina asked. Furina is the assistant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor of the 77th Director of the Parlor itself Hu Tao. Eventually the gang all slept well as Furina told them to see the Director "Shall we go to see my manager?~" Furina asked with her narcissistic voice. "Manager?" Aether asked. The gang follows Furina as all of them become curious, seemingly wondering where she is taking them to. As the Gang heard the insanity laugher seemingly thinking it comes from the director.

As they enter underground, the gang feels shocked as the director has tons of scary pumpkins and decorations of skeletons. "Uh..Furina, What is this?" Ayaka asked with seriousness. Furina laughs manically for a few minutes and after calming down Furina said "Are you scared?~" With her mockly voice. "Oya, Oya. If it isn't the gang of new Vampires hunters and huntresses." She said with her graceful and brashful tone. Hu Tao, the 77th director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor greets the gang "Let me say..You want to work with the Qixing right~?"Hu Tao asked "Yes that's-" Ayaka said but couldn't finish her sentence due to the door opened by a member of the Qixing. "What are you and Furina doing with the new members of Vampire Hunters and Huntresses?" The member of the Qixing asked. They chuckle and tell the members of the Qixing saying they just wanted to show their Parlor. The member told the new members by saying don't mind Furina and Hu Tao insanity, laughter and decorations as it happens to people all the time. Aether asked Curiously "What's your name? And..Since when did she go to the parlor and work with the director herself?" The Qixing introduced herself as Keqing, a member of the Qixing and told the gang that The Qixing worked as Vampires Hunters due to the infection spread around Teyvat. Infection..What kind of Infection is this? Is that why humans turn into Vampires? When did the Infection start? Ayaka is getting more serious than her usual self as so many questions fill her head. No one has ever heard the vampire curse..An infection spreading around Teyvat. The gang and Keqing went to the jade chamber to meet the owner who owns the company, Lady Ningguang.

"Hi there, you must be Aether, Lumine, Ayaka and Heizou. Is that correct?" Ningguang asked. The gang nods as Ayaka immediately asks Ningguang. "Hello, Is there anything we could help by..Hunting?" Ayaka asked with her emotionless tone. Ningguang answered "Well..You could encounter a vampire in Fontaine. There was a samurai wandering in Fontaine. Miss Chev caught sight of him at night." Fontaine..Is their first mission to find a vampire at sight.."Well..There is a Fatui harbinger as well in that place as if it was a laboratory." Ningguang said. Immediately the gang accepted the mission as they were ready to hunt, but Lumine immediately asked "Wait, Lady Ningguang! Before we go to Fontaine, I have a question. Who is the Fatui harbinger appearing in Fontaine?" The Harbinger..Ningguang suspect it was Crucabena the 4th rank of the fatui harbingers. Fatui Harbingers their mission is to spread the infection all over Teyvat. "Is there an infection in this world? Was it a "Virus"?" Aether asked. "It's an Infection, Aether..We called it the "Vampire Curse"." Ningguang answered. "Is there any cure to let them become humans again...?" Heizou asked with concern. Ningguang was shocked that Heizou asked an impossible question, although..Ningguang felt it's possible to find a cure. Now the gang finally got the answers to find a Vampire. Ningguang requests to find a Inazuma Wanderer "Kaedehara Kazuha" and a Fatui Harbinger Crucabena. It's time to let the hunt begin.

The gang arrives at Fontaine in the later evening..The twins were exhausted..Ayaka was sitting under the tree while Heizou was looking around if he could find any Fatui Harbingers. Heizou nearly ran out of his energy due to exhaustion he sighs..Eventually thinking again..What should he do after his father passed away.."Are you alright? Perhaps I could give you water if you want.." Heizou turns into the man who appeared asking, eventually Heizou recognizes him but he doesn't know his new appearance. As he still has a red streak on his hair and now he has long platinum hair. He blinked as he nearly flustered in front of the man as he spoke with a gentle and soft tone to him with a smile "If you're uncomfortable then I'll give you some space." He said. Heizou immediately shakes his head "Sorry..I was spacing out. I hope I didn't..-" The man noticed Heizou with his new short hair appearance giving him a gentle pat and answered with honesty "It's okay. I'll give you some space, Stay safe alright young Gentlemen." The man turned his high boots and walked away, giving Heizou some space. Heizou sighs but is willing to call him.

Aether becomes concerned as he sees a man talking to him earlier. "Zozo? Zozo?" Aether called. Heizou passed out due to exhaustion. Ayaka and others were immediately shocked as they gave Heizou water immediately. But Ayaka also knew that was the man they were looking for, a wanderer from Inazuma whom Heizou thinks is his friend was a vampire.The gang are still in Fontaine and it is already Evening, perhaps at night time vampires will come to hunt Vampires who don't have fellowships to the Fatui Harbingers and Hunters and Huntresses. But for people who are infected by the curse..They will attack Hunters and Female Hunters. But only one thing Kazuha remembers was..His death..It's the only memory he remembers. He doesn't remember he had friends in the past. Kazuha saw the gang with an unconscious Heizou and he immediately asked with a concerned and soft tone "Is he alright?" Ayaka immediately is fully eyed as she gets ready with a gun. "Uh..Ayaka maybe we shouldn't-" Lumine gets cut off by Ayaka"What?...Seeing things? No I'm not, Lumine! It's the man we're looking for!" Ayaka said with her emotionless and brashful tone. Kazuha knew he was busted...So then the chase begins with Ayaka preparing her gun. She is ready to let him down with Lumine chasing her as Aether stays with an unconscious Heizou. Kazuha hides behind the tree so no hunter is able to find him. He peek till Ayaka shot him, however Kazuha dogged her attack "Shoot! I missed it!" Ayaka said. "There he is!" Lumine shouted.

It didn't last for long as Ayaka grabbed his arm, asking him "Tell me...Where is Crucabena?" Ayaka asked with her threatening voice. Kazuha seemingly can't answer "I'm sorry...I-" His sentence was cut by Ayaka as she shot him but Kazuha braced himself. His friend sacrificed him as he saw Ayaka with Lumine; he then immediately turned himself into a bat and carried Kazuha. "Lumine! You got him away!" Ayaka shouted. "I'm sorry..I can't grab my weapon.." Lumine said and Ayaka sighs, hunters should be ready with their weapons. Though they walk back to find Heizou and Aether where Heizou by his own consciousness. "What happened?" Heizou asked, Ayaka and Lumine explained what had happened while Heizou was unconscious. They decided to go on a hunt for a Fatui Harbinger as they needed an explanation from Kazuha. The hunt had just begun.
