Chapter 2-Fontaine Arc An Impression from a Vampire

After their encounter with the hunters earlier, Tomo treats his wounds "Kazuha remember...All the Fatui harbingers told us to kill them. But we can't since we didn't want to hurt them, all we could do was to stay away and run away from humans. It's a good thing I am here as a friend.." Tomo said with a warnful voice. Kazuha nods as he has to be careful as humans might hunt him again. Suddenly they heard noises "Shit..It's the Humans again!" Tomo said. They both transform into bats flying away to the city of Fontaine. Turns out Ayaka and her friends wanted from them about Crucabena whereabouts. "Damn it! They got away! Where the hell are they going?" Ayaka asked with her harsh tone. Lumine told Ayaka to calm down, Aether and Heizou paid attention so they went to the court of Fontaine. The gang immediately went to the court of Fontaine to which they were stopped by someone with purple hair "Hold it you four!" The woman with purple hair asks them if they are associated with the members of the Qixing to which they simply nod however they know the woman's identity "You must be Chev. Chevreuse right?" Everyone was surprised after Aether knew Chevreuse immediately. "Wow. So you guys have been associated with the Qixing all along." Chevreuse said. They heard growling and roaring sounds "It must be a vampire!" Ayaka said "I know what you came for, must be 2 vampires wandering here?" Chevreuse asked. "Have you seen 2 vampires somewhere?" Lumine asked, Chevreuse pointed out that they went near the city of Fontaine.

The gang followed the noise, as they went far away near the city, Ayaka and Heizou prepared their weapons as they quietly approached the tree. "Remember all, We have to be careful so that these vampires won't attack us." Ayaka said. Meanwhile Tomo and Kazuha are chilling on a tree as Kazuha is healed quickly due to him as a vampire "How are you feeling, Kazuha?" Tomo asked. Kazuha nods indicating he is alright. They heard something..They were rustling quietly..Tomo thought it's the humans again, Kazuha told Tomo to calm down. As they slowly approached Aether and Lumine slowly raised their own swords. Meanwhile the vampires are chilling on a tree where Kazuha appears to be bored and amused..He sighs because they have nothing to do till they hear a gunshot, Tomo and Kazuha feel curious to find out where the shot came from. As they came out Kazuha was shot on his arm "Argh!" Tomo was shocked immediately seeing Ayaka and her friends, eventually his mind reads "Familiar encounter detected." He has nowhere to go "Found you too." Ayaka said. His face was concerned, thinking she wanted the vampires dead till someone stopped Ayaka from hurting them.

"Ayaka, Stop! I don't think they want to hurt us. I felt like..They hide a secret where some are passive and don't want to hurt us! In fact, vampires were once humans!" Heizou bravely speaks. It's true..Vampires were once humans..It was unknown how Tomo and Kazuha were turned into vampires, they can't remember much of their past. They don't know what happened, Heizou, Aether and Lumine were friends with them when they were humans back then. So many questions fill their heads. Tomo and Kazuha sat down on a tree as Aether slowly approached the vampires. "You must be Kazuha and Tomo right?" Aether asked. Tomo and Kazuha silently nod, Lumine gently pats them "Have we met somewhere before..?" Lumine asked.

Heizou is still wondering and curious how his friends ended up being vampires, perhaps he may know their past one day. "We won't hurt you too, we promise. I'm Aether, this is Heizou and my sister Lumine. Lastly this girl is-" Aether gets cut off "Kamisato Ayaka, I know" Ayaka said. Eventually the vampires were still new to trust humans. Normally vampires attack humans but some aren't aware that some vampires can be passive. "We need your answers..Tell me where Crucabena is?" Lumine asked, "We refused to tell where she was." Tomo answers "If you refuse to tell us..I'ma attack your friend once again!" Ayaka said with her brashful tone. "Woah, woah, woah. Calm down Ayaka. You gotta learn to be patient.." Heizou said softly. She sighs, Heizou also gave her one last warning then she had to pinkie promise to Heizou that she won't hurt Kazuha and Tomo. Eventually, Ayaka rolled her eyes and gave a thumbs up.

"I'm sorry, we didn't mean to interrupt your family time...Or anything." Kazuha said "No no, We're not hanging out as a family, we were looking for you and your friend. Because we need your answer to find Crucabena. Like you said we were family..Yes. Family is the most important part. I once had a family...But then my Father, due to an animal bite, turns out it's no ordinary animal bite, it's a vampire bite. Lumine and Aether are both related because they are twins but me and Ayaka are not blood related but we're family." Heizou said and then sighs. Heizou was able to calm down before he weeps, it takes time for some people to move on from someone whom you love. Curiously killed a sheep, why do some vampires can be passive to humans? Is it because when they were humans back then..They were friends? Perhaps Ayaka was not aware that Heizou never told Ayaka about this.
