Chapter 8 "Stupid Pranks"

"What the hell is that?" I cringed,looking at the horrible clothing that my brother was holding up.It was probably the ugliest thing I'd ever seen.Grey was holding up a green looking skirt that looks as if it hasn't been washed for years.Okay,maybe a bit over the top.But seriously,the skirt was horrible.And don't get me started on the blouse.The blouse that was partnered with the skirt was white and has long sleeeves that would probably make you look like a nun.What bothers me even more was the weird looking ruffles in the chest area.I'm not sure if that's even considered as a shirt,but that's just...ugh.I internally shivered as I thought of wearing that at school.That thought alone was enough for my heart to beat fast.

"Wait,don't tell me that's..." I didn't dare finished the sentence as my eyes got wider,I saw Grey's smirk and that was enough proof for me.

I screamed.Literally.It was an ear piercing scream, I can tell, because Grey dropped the clothes and covered his ears with a pained look in his face.I didn't know how long I was screaming,but the next thing I knew my mouth was covered.I looked up to see Kevin,biting his lip to prevent from smiling.

I walked away from his grasp,and glared at Grey,who was unbelievably laughing at me,"What the hell are you laughing at?!"

Grey looked at me,with tears on his eyes from all the laughing,"Your - haha - face - haha" he said,clutching his stomach.

"Don't worry,Emma." I looked back at Kevin who was looking at Grey amusedly,"He's just messing with you,"

I frowned,"You mean...that's not..?" I looked back at the garment,cringing at the thought of wearing it crossed my mind.

"No, Emma, that's not your uniform. Our school doesn't even need one" Kevin smirked. He went over where Grey was practically dying with laughter. "Dude, that was not a cool prank" Kevin said, amusement written on his face.

"I'm sorry,what?" I said, frowning as I heard him say the word 'prank'

Both guys sobered up when they heard my serious and low tone. I raised an eyebrow, demanding an answer, "Did you just say, 'prank'?!"

Kevin's eyes widened as he slowly backed up behind Grey, probably scared of what I look like right now. Yeah, I'm not really the best looking girl when I'm mad, or pissed. Well, whichever comes first. There's not much of a difference,except that when I'm pissed, I look like the female version of kingkong.Without the hairy chest and all.

"Listen, Emma, I wasn't a part of this..we just thought it would be..you know fun..?" Kevin stuttered, as he hides even more behind Grey who looks like he's about to laugh again. I raised an eyebrow at Grey, which he returned and said "That was so epic! Anyway, Mera get dressed or whatever, we're gonna introduce you to our friends"

I frowned and eyed both of them suspiciously "They better not be as stupid as you two," I said, as I passed by them and went upstairs to change. I smirked as I saw Kevin's eyes follow my every move as if I'm gonna jump on him at any minute, I think I even heard him sigh in relief. And that made me laugh.

But I still think that prank was so not funny.

"Where the hell are we,Grey?" I asked for the nth time

"I told you, Mera, it's just an old hangout place! No biggie!" He replied, not taking his eyes off the road.

After changing into a pair of jeggings and a white v-neck, my brother said that we had to drive at least half an hour to get there. Which was annoying in my opinion because and I quote "Why do we have to drive half an hour just to see your friends?!" . In return, I only got the answer of Kevin and Grey smirking at me as if they know something I don't. But of course I dropped the suspicious subject, cause I didn't want to annoy them if I kept asking.

So now here we are, in the middle of nowhere. And all I see is a bunch of trees that we've been passing by for the last half hour. I was really starting to grow anxious that I couldn't help but ask again,"Grey, are we almost there?" I asked

Both boys sighed and shot me an annoyed look " We're here!"

My eyes widened and I immediately looked around. "Where the the hell is 'here?!" I asked, turning around to scowl at the two boys but immediately noticed that they were gone. that's when I started to panic. I turned around to see if they were outside but I couldn't see them anywhere. I checked the whole car and still no sight of them. I got out and looked around, feeling a bit chilly because of the sun was starting to set. I soon realized that we were parked in the middle of a forest. I have no idea how we got here, but this is definitely starting freaking me out.

"Grey?!" I called out, panic building up inside of me. "Kevin?!" I kept turning and turning hoping to see some movement. But gave up once I saw nothing.

"Guys this isn't funny anymore!" I yelled,hoping that maybe they'll stop making fun of me.

I walked a little further away from the car and that's when I heard a scream. "Mera!"

My eyed widened as I heard Grey's voice and I immediately ran towards the sound of his voice, " Grey?! Grey , where are you?!"

"Help!"

Another scream. I desperately searched for the sound of their voices. I ran and ran until a loud bang made me stop. I looked around. It was dark now, I can barely see anything through the thick branches of the trees around me. I was frightened. I couldn't hide that fact anymore. I just heard my brother and his friend screaming for help followed by a loud bang, which I'm guessing would be the sound of a gunshot. That thought made me cringe and shiver. I didn't realize that I was already crying until I felt something wet hit my collarbone. I wiped the tears on my cheek and started walking again, But something made me stop in my tracks again.

A light. I can see a light. I can also hear voices. My eyes widened as I ran towards where the ligt and voices were. And what I saw definitely made me cringe in disgust.
