Chapter 4 "Crazy and Wild hormonal teenagers"
I never would've guessed that my father was so rich!
I am now currently at the front porch step of my father's house,admiring its structure with awe.I can't even bring myself to knock on the door,afraid of what I might see inside.And I'm not talking about their stuff,I'm referring to my long-time-no-see brother.
Yes,you know it! I do,in fact,have a brother.Twin brother to be exact. Whom apparently hasn't spoken to me in months.
And if you're wondering, no ,my brother and I are not the kind of twins that can't live with each other,but we don't exactly hate each other.Last time I checked we were practically communicating with each other.Through phones and video chats,we were pretty close.
That is until a few months passed and we've grown tired of talking with each other - not like there is anything to talk about anyway.
My mom and dad have been separated for a least five years.A very long time if you ask me.After their divorce,they didn't even utter a single word to each other.
Yeah,they're not exactly on speaking terms.Until now,that is.
My mom called dad the other night to tell him the news of her promotion.My mom's an international author,and she was assigned to a new assignment where she was required to travel to different countries in order to write something about it.It was a pretty big challenge for my mom and she -being the daredevil she is- took the opportunity without a secong thought.
So now I have to live at my dad's house for at least three months.I didn't have any choice but to stay here.Well actually I did have a choice,which was my Aunt Marissa's house,which would be a big no-no for me.Even the thought of living with her and my cousins makes me shiver. So that left me with the Father-and-daughter-interaction choice.I actually don't have any problem with the fact that I'll be living with someone I've completely forgotten for five years,the only thing I'm a little worried about was the awkwardness that would be built upon us.
I guess this is gonna be harder that I thought -
"Hi!" a voice said, interrupted my thoughts.
I looked up to see a petite girl with brown hair and pale blue eyes, "You must be Emma!" she shouted.
I looked behind me and remembered that Sarah went to live at Aunt Marissa's.
It was only then that I realized there was a party going on behind her.I guess that explains the dark closed curtains,but how did that kind of loud music be not heard from outside?
"This place is sound-proof,so there's really nothing to worry about!" she said, as if reading my thoughts.
She closed the door behind her and took a step towards me, "My name's Susan but my folks call me Suzie, 'cause Susan is soo old fashion , I got that name from my great great grandmother and she was the most weirdest person you'll ever -"
"Suzie!"
We both looked up to see a tall blond haired girl with big brown eyes with two backpacks on her hands.
That's weird.Why would she bring two backpacks when she's dressed for a party?
"Kris!" Suzie said,alarmed.
The girl named Kris grabbed Suzie's arm and said, "Why are you torturing the poor girl's ears?"
She turned to me,"Look,you're Emma right?" I nodded "I know this might sound odd but I'm gonna need you to strip,like right now!"
My eyes widened when she suddenly pulled my wrist and yanked me inside a car.
~~~
"Why are we here again?" I asked the two girls behind me.
