Chapter 9 "Stupid Pranks" -part 2

"Let them go!" I screamed and struggled against the two guys gripping my arms.

My eyes widened as I saw my Grey and Kevin both on the floor, struggling to get out of the guys' hold of them. There were about seven guys around here, not including Grey and Kevin. They're all wearing black masks like the ones that killers use. A shiver ran down my spine as the thought of someone dying crosssed my mind.

I gasped as two of the masked guys grabbed my arms, "No! Please! Don't!" My eyes widened in panic, and I tried my best to wriggle out of their grasp. But it was no use.

My eyes wandered to my brother who had the same expression as me. My throat tightened and I can feel fresh tears streaming down my cheeks, "Let them go!"

One of the guys was shocked with my sudden outburst that he loosened his grip a little,and I took that as my cue. I craned my body a little then twisted his arm, and that caused the other guy to loosen his grip too,so I immediately kicked the other guy's shin and left him groaning,I turned to the other guy who was in awe as to what just happened, I smirked and brought my feet high in the air,and kicked his arm. He let out a loud groan.But I wasn't finished yet. I twisted my body and jumped high, and gave him a sideway kick in the head. He let out yet another grunt then fell unconscious the floor. I sighed, proud of my skills and how I still know how to do it.

I looked up and saw most of the guys running up to the unconscious one, but as I glanced at my brother I saw his eyes twinkling, at first I thought because he was proud of my work, but then I saw a faint smile that turned big...and ended up being a guffaw. I frowned and looked at Kevin who was now beside the unconscious guy. I looked back at Grey and at the scene before me.

"You jerk!" I gasped,running up to Grey to tackle him to the ground. As if on cue, he looked up with his eyes full of disbelief and let out a yelp.

"You're unbelievable! How dare you trick me like this?! I was actually crying because of the situation and all of this was just a part of your prank?! I screamed, with him wriggling under me.

"Argh! Mera,I can't breathe! God,I didn't realize you were this heavy!" He groaned,trying to push me off of him.

I scowled," I am not heavy!" I said, defensively. "You're just weak,you dolt!"

He feigned hurt and said," I am not stupid!" He gasped, wiping a fake tear under his eye.

I groaned in frustration, and choked him " I'm so gonna kill you! I just kicked an innocent guy in the face, and all you do is laugh!?" I said, shaking him with my hands on his neck.

"It's-mwo- agh-fawt-ouch!" He said, his words unfathomed.

I let go of his neck, and he immediately gasped for air, "I'm sorry,what was that?" I said, looking at him with mock innocence.

He glared at me, "I said, It's not my fault!"

I frowned,looking at him as if he just grew two heads," Are you kidding me?! Of course it's your fault! You're the one who pranked me!"

He scoffed," Well, I'm not the one who kicked someone in the face and practically killed him" He rolled his eyes.

I glared," Yeah?! Well I- Oh my god!" My eyes widened as realisation dawned on me. I looked back at the unconcious guy and saw that all of them were still huddled together,all in panic mode. I stood up right away,ready to help them then looked back at Grey who was smirking.

"We are not finished," I said in a low dangerous voice,my eyes narrowed.He raised a brow and I took that as my cue to leave him on the ground.

I scattered away from him and ran towards the huddled men. When they were close enough I could hear them talking in agitation.

"Oh no,not again!"

"He's so stupid! How could he not avoid that kick?!"

"As if you could!"

" That was a hard blow, I gotta say"

"Yeah, I could actually hear his neck breaking!"

"Not funny,bro!"

"Like how funny you got striked in the groin?"

"Guys! This is about Daniel being unconcious! Not how you just got kicked by a girl,"

The last phrase caught my attention and I suddenly panicked, " Daniel?" I said

As if rehearsed, six of them turned their heads to me. But a certain one caught my eye, "Ivan?!"

"Emma?!" Ivan said, his eyes full of disbelief.

"You know him?!" My eyes wandered around to see who said that and saw Kevin's curious eyes

"She's the beach girl!" the three of us looked up. The guy was still wearing his mask but I could tell he was smiling.

" Uh, yeah.I am," I said, frowning in confusion "I think," I whispered the last part.

The guy took his mask off then looked at me with hopeful eyes, "So you could help him right?" I scanned his appearance quickly and I realized that he looked a lot like Daniel. Maybe they're related, I wondered.

"What do you mean?" I asked, wondering why he said that

"Well you did save him from dying from being drowned," I looked at Ivan as he said that, then back at Daniel's look-alike. Both of them, no actually, ALL of them seems pretty keen of me saving Daniel.

I sighed,looking at Daniel's unconcious face. Well, it is kind of my fault, I thought guiltily.

I looked back at all of them and said, "Okay, I'll revive him from the dead," I said, waving my arms jokingly.

They all gave me amused glances and low chuckles that I couldn't help but laugh at my weirdness too. Looking around, I saw Grey standing near us, with his arms crossed and a blank face etched on his face. I frowned momentarily, but decided to let it go for now and ask him later.

I inhaled deeply and looked at Daniel again. I guess I'm gonna be your hero again, I thought, smiling slightly as I thought back at his blushing face.

I smirked, maybe this saving thing would be worth it if I get to see him blush all over again, I thought amusedly.

Looking back at the boys I said, "Let's do this!"
