Todays Dua:

The Dua of King Talut

This dua was recited by Talut (Saul) and his army for victory over Jalut (Goliath) and his forces.

‎رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Rabbana afrigh Aalayna sabran wathabbit aqdamana waonsurna Aala alqawmi alkafireena

“Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving people.” - (Quran 2:250)

The virtues of this dua include:

Seeking Patience:
Asking Allah for patience is virtuous as patience is a key virtue in Islam. It helps believers endure trials and tribulations with resilience and faith.

Strengthening Resolve:
Asking Allah to “plant firmly our feet” signifies a desire for steadfastness and strength in faith, enabling believers to remain firm in their beliefs and actions.

Seeking Victory:
Asking for victory over disbelieving people demonstrates the importance of seeking Allah’s assistance in overcoming challenges and obstacles, particularly those posed by opponents of Islam.
