*** Yemen...it was the home of angry and pained Lailah Maqsood. At the age of 17 she had to flee to a refugee camp along with her four other siblings. Her mother's sister, that moved to India, saved them when the news reached her. She wants to reconnect with The Almighty but her shame prevents her from doing so. Her best friend Iffat tries to help but the stubborn girl won't budge. One day, whilst sleeping in class a memory comes in the form of a nightmare leaving her in tears and an emotional mess in front of everyone, her "enemy" included. Iffat decided then and there that she has had enough and makes Lailah release that she desperately needs to turn back to her Rabb. It also peeked the curiosity of Yazaar Malik. *** Yazaar has always been kind and loving but for some absurd reason Lailah despises him. He makes it his business to find out what haunts her as his heart broke when he heard her cries in class. It confused him because Lailah was a stranger but it broke him to see her emotionally unstable. She won't allow him close to her and he knows that the only solution to getting close to her is marriage. He hears that she has to return to Yemen making the proposal and marriage rushed.
