Levi:

I watched the girl as she quickly hurried away from us. I was curious I hadn't seen her around much before and I didn't know her, which only intrigued me more because I try to talk to everybody. turning back to my friends who were shoving things from their lockers into their bags in a hurry to get to first period. Especially Hunter he knew that coach would make us run till we were sick if we were late to any of our classes this year especially him, because he just got announced captain this past week during pre-season practice. Speaking of which "Hey man, what are you gonna do to celebrate the big news?" I asked Hunter as we walked together to our first period, Art. Neither of us wanted to take the class but out of all the other electives it seemed like an easy A. "What big new's?" A light voice speaks up from behind us. It was Charlotte, West's younger sister. She was grade below us along with her best friend rose who followed close behind. "Oh, hey Lottie. You didn't hear?  Hunter here is the new captain of the football team." I told her "Ain't that right cap!" I exclaimed while slapping him on the chest. "Oh my goodness that is so awesome!" Charlotte squealed. "Easy there Char or you'll burst my ear drum." Hunter says with a small smile. "I honestly don't know, it isn't that big of a deal really" "It isn't that big of a deal Hunt are you kidding that a huge deal I'm so proud!" Charlotte squeals once again "Don't you worry your pretty little head I'll help you plan the best party ever, oh and this is my stop." She said while point at the journalism classroom. "Byeeee" She waved as she broke off from us and headed into the class room.

Ding Ding

Shit! The warning bell I guess Hunter and I didn't realize how much we were dragging our feet. Sprinting down the rest of the hallway we made it into art just as the bell rang. With my chest heaving I gave Ms. Spooly an apologetic smile before me and hunter made our way to the back of the class room and took a seat.

"Damn man you need to work out more if just sprinting down the hall has you out of breath ." Hunter laughed out as he patted me on the back "Shut up" I grumbled back.

"Dude was that the same girl who I saw you talking too at the grocery store?" Hunter asks as we work on our first sketches of the year. We had to draw something that was important to us then write a paragraph as to what it was and why it's important to us. "Who?" I asked playing dumb, I knew exactly who he was talking about. The short brunette with eyes just a smidge darker than her hair. Hunts dark skin creased as he raised a brow as if to say cut the crap you know exactly what in talking about, but he played along. "The little one with the glasses who snapped at west for taking her book." He said in a "duh" tone. "Oh yea her, I guess she is I haven't seen her around much just in the store, but she's not new in town." I explain, Hunter simply replies with a "huh, interesting." "how is it interesting? I just didn't know her." I shot back confused. "It's interesting because you know everybody, or at least you talk to everybody." Hunter said as he continued to sketch out a beach, it was where all of us meet up on the last day of summer, like lat nigh and talked and planned out a few core pranks for he year. "It really isn't but okay, also did you notice how she just kinda spaced off it was almost like she was in another world and she wouldn't respond. And then she just took off, that's twice she's ran away from me." I give a frustrated huff just thinking about it, I could be this girls friend if she let me, but noooo run away from big scary Levi. "It's probably nothing personal, she doesn't know us and we don't know her. What if she's just not. People person. And I know what you're thinking. You are not big scary Levi who's mean and angry. Just let it be, okay?" Hunter noted as I began to darken my sketch, out of our friends me and Hunt her probably the most artsy, and I took pride in that. My mom still has the hand turkey I made in second grade hanging up on the fridge at home. Just thinking about that made me want to smile, but I refrain ed remembering that I was still upset about the mystery girl. "Okay" I grumble back to Hunter "I'll leave her alone."
