IN WHICH, marilyn was the second ever in the maze, and soon began to realize she had the cruel fate of being the only girl— a timid, shy girl at first. once she realized there was no helping her situation, she decided to help the boys. she had a surprising talent for healing the wounds the runners brought back from the maze, the cooks got from the fire, anything— it gave her purpose and she was satisfied.
but there was a lingering part of her mind that was.. dissatisfied. something important was missing. a blank space once filled in her mind. an ongoing hum of music lost somewhere before the maze. that was, until he arrived.
OR marilyn and thomas struggle through remembering their old lives and have to live in a four-walled trap as they do so. ——
