I woke up with my same routine like any other morning.  Brush my teeth, straighten my hair, put on my skinny jeans, a t-shirt with my black converse, and put a little make up on not too much just a natural look.

"Kimberly if you don't hurry we're not going to have time to stop by Starbucks and you're going to be late for class!" James yelled from across the hall.

James has been my best friend since I was seven and James was five.  We were neighbors so we basically grew up together and now we're room mates.

"I'm almost done! And you know better than any one that I don't like to be rushed!!" I yelled back.

Boys they simply don't understand how long it takes to get ready.  James is my ride to school and work otherwise I would always be late.

"I'm ready are you happy now!" I told James.

'Now Kimberly you know I don't mean it in a rude way but I just don't like for you to be late.  You have to get to places on time."

"I understand but you know me.  I can't never be on time for anything even if I try.  You remember my high school graduation, it had to be delayed because I was running late.  My whole entire class and teachers were all waiting for me to get there." I said laughing remembering that exact day.

"Everybody was getting inpatient including myself.  But that's the reason why you love me because i get you to places on time!" He said with a smirk on his face.

"I do love you very much but sometimes it gets annoying!" I told him.

Being rushed is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Every morning James and I stop by Starbucks to get some coffee and something to eat while I do some last minute homework or studying before I have to go to class.

I'm a business major at the University of San Diego and after class I work at Macy's while James works at a surf shop.

He wants to be a singer so when ever there's an opening in a cafe he's the first one to sign up.

We always sing our lungs out in the car while listening to the radio.  Just by listening to his beautiful angelic voice I can tell that he's going to be a huge superstar one day.

"Hey Kaleb is here! You know I can just get a ride to class with Kaleb since we both have history together that way you won't be late for work."

"You're still friends with that guy?!" snapped James.

"Yeah we have almost every class together. Why?! You have a problem with him?"

"No not at all I just thought never mind." James said as Kaleb was making his way toward us.

"Hey Kimberly!" Kaleb said in a very good mood.

"Hi Kaleb!  You remember my friend James!"

"Of course, he's your room mate right."

"Room mate and best friend since we were kids." James said bitterly.

If I didn't know better I would of thought there was tension between the two.  But that couldn't be right, the two of them barely talked to each other.

"Kim are you ready to head to school?!" Kaleb said breaking the silence.

"Yeah I'm ready.  Bye James I'll see you tonight after work."

"Wait aren't I picking you up after school?!"

"No it's ok. Kaleb is taking me to work that way you don't have to drive me back and forth just don't forget to pick me up." I told James.

"If you want I can pick you up after work?" Kaleb asked.

"I got it from here. After all we are both going to the same place." James told him in a sarcastic tone.

"Well now that it's settle we better go." I said aggravated.
