When Inferno awoke, he noticed something. When he looked in the mirror, one of his eyes had turned black. Was this some shadow thing? Weirdly, he hadn't had a nightmare, but then it caught his eye. Armour. Glistening Samurai Armour, black and purple and red. Shadow and Fire. It looked mighty, and beautiful. It came with a postcard attached to it. "Awaken, Shadow Samurai. Use shadow as you would fire. Attack with grace, and get stronger with every attack." He slipped his katana into the sheath provided, and tried on the armour. A perfect fit. "Oh hell yeah. Scarlet loves a man in uniform."

Winter opened her eyes. A young woman with long grey hair, a white shirt, a jacket, black gloves and golden eyes was standing in front of her. She faced Winter. "Your journey awaits.". Winter was confused. Where was she? "Who are you?". The woman chuckled. "He told me not to, but I might as well give it to you. My name is Lorelei. Now wake up. You will decide the fate of this World.". Winter had so many questions. "Wait!".

Polaris woke up to see Jamie and Winter sitting together. Polaris knew what Jamie was doing. He's monitoring Winter for any changes in behaviour. Polaris was thankful he wasn't the only one dealing with this. He walked into the main room where Inferno and Elliot were sitting. Jamie could see the horror in Polaris's eyes. "What's going on?" Jamie asked. "My worst fears have come true. Because she's so powerful, she's become addicted to it. Addicted to the fleeting moments of power... Winter's already been using it outside of battle. She's been staring at the white orb of pure light. Even at training she can't use certain spells.".

Jamie shuddered at the thought of a corrupted Winter. "How did you find out White Christmas was a Genocide Spell?". Polaris looked like he just had a terrible nightmare. "Cyn... Oh lord no, Cyn...". Jamie wondered who this "Cyn" person was. "Sorry?". Polaris snapped out of his nightmare. "Oh yes... Cyn was an Ice Witch. She was strong, with good looks and everything. When I transferred to the Ice School she always teased and flirted with me. But I caught on to her plan. Anyone she would go home with would never come back, save for her best friends. I saw her... Murder someone with White Christmas, and devour their body. I knew enough was enough. With the help of my friends, and a miracle, we managed to imprison Cyn. We later brought the Government to reinforce the seal. They managed to find out everything, and informed me. Everyday, I fear. I see that gruesome sight every time I kill. I learnt White Christmas to make sure I would stop Cyn the next time I met her. I don't want Winter to end up the same way, but I can't find it in myself to take Winter's powers from her. Not just because I have to use White Christmas to do so, but because I'm her teacher.".

Jamie understood the predicament Polaris was in. Everything was changing in just a few days. Dark getting defeated, Inferno getting shadow power, and now Winter with White Christmas. "You still haven't given me a straight answer. Why did you teach Winter the spell?". Polaris laughed weakly. "I thought she could take it, the prodigy she was. I took a huge risk. I was so, SO wrong… It only fed White Christmas's desires.". Jamie's eyes lit up. "I have an idea. follow me."

Polaris stood next to Jamie out on the training grounds. "So what's your idea? And what does this have to do with White Christmas?". Jamie smiled. "Watch and learn."

Jamie readied himself. A white light erupted from his hand. A perfect replica of White Christmas. But, with the blast came a trickle of Jamie's signature "Pale Rain". The spell grew bluer and bluer, until the spells worked in tandem. Polaris could see Jamie struggling to keep up with White Christmas. Quickly, the spell dissipated. Jamie explained to Polaris out of breath. "I can subdue White Christmas. It takes a lot of power to prevent it from taking over your other spells. I could feel it, like tendrils leeching onto my mind. There's only one thing I know for sure. You and I must make Winter stronger.".

Winter grew over the next few weeks, somehow hiding her obsession with White Christmas. Jamie taught Winter how to combine spells, and within days, she was able to combine spells almost instinctively. But the fateful day came when Jamie and Winter were fighting. Winter shouted. "White Christmas!". A white light erupted from the palm of her hand. Jamie was praying for a miracle. Please let my plan work! Jamie created the strongest shield he could, trying to bide time. He looked for signs of other types of magic. Sure enough, the smallest trickle of Polaris's special move, altered by Jamie, "The North Star", was there in Winter's magic. Jamie smiled. But his hopes were crushed. The small line of magic was cut, and the spell was absorbed into Winter's white light. Jamie laughed weakly as his shield broke. Finally, something I can't fix. I'm finally not the "Perfect Boy".
