I woke up for like the five hundredth time in a row to the steady sound of beeping. I slowly open my eyes to avoid getting a headache from the harsh lighting and take in my surroundings. Its the Sam as the last time I was here. Wouldn't it be so funny if I just dreamt that all? The apartment never happened, some freak just broke into my home and threw me off my balcony, Ghostface never returned, Annika and Chad were alive, Ethan wasn't Ghostface and Quinn was going to walk into my room to comfort me and gossip, but I knew that wasn't the case. No matter how hard I tried to gaslight myself, the truth was the truth. I push myself up in the bed i'm lying in while going through the events of the theatre in my head. I can't believe that's how it went down. Knocks on the door interrupted my thoughts.

"Come in!" I shout, playing with my fingers. It was Sam.

"Hey Nicole...how are you feeling?" She asked, Deja vu hitting me like a brick.

"Good, I suppose? Just got Deja vu from when I got chucked off my balcony. It's crazy to think this is the third time I've been in the hospital this week." I respond, a small smile making its way onto my face.

Sam laughed a little in response, "Yeah, you're just insane like that, N. You've got more lives than a cat."

"So...how is everyone- everything?" I ask, timidly, unsure of what she might say.

"Well, Mindys fine and out of the hospital, Gales making a smooth recovery and should be discharged soon, and you've got a week and a half left in here? They wanted to make sure everything you recently and previously got is actually going to heal." Sam answered, sitting in the chair next to me.

"What about Chad? Is he-?"

"No...surprisingly, he survived. He's going to be in here for a while, but the doctors are almost positively sure he's going to make it." Sam said, smiling, "Oh, and me and Tara are good too, thanks for asking."

I laughed at her joke, "I was going to ask I swear!"

We both sat there, soaking up the moment of happiness before I saw Sam's smile falter.

"There's something I have to tell you, N, and I don't think you're going to like it." She said.

"What? We're moving back to Woodsboro?" I ask.

"No, hell no. Um...when the detectives were identifying the bodies at the scene, one of them was missing." Sam started, and I felt my heart start to beat out of my chest.

"Ethans missing."

At that moment, my thoughts stopped, and I feel into a world of black.
