Delaney's POV.

The morning light began to peak through the window of my hotel room, shining against my face and effectively waking me from my slumber. I began to stir, attempting to stretch out my limbs until I felt something weighing one side of my body down. Dominik laid on his stomach, face buried in the pillow below him, his arm wrapped around my hips snugly. It was in that moment; the memories of the night before came flooding back.

My throat began to feel increasingly dry and tight as last night replayed in my thoughts.

The hooded figure.

The "gift".

Dominik.

The guilt and panic began to consume me entirely. I had made a grave mistake hooking up with Dominik. I let my heightened emotional state and the desperate need for comfort get the better of me, and now I have royally fucked up. I sat up abrasively, the panic starting rise once again. I didn't care if I woke him, I needed him gone. I quickly threw the covers off of me and stood up from the bed, pacing from one end to the other as I ran a hand through my hair. From the corner of my eye I could see movement in the bed.

"Mmm.." Dominik groaned before beginning to sit himself up. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes before focusing on me and my hysterical state.

"What's got you so frazzled at..." he paused and held up his wrist, checking his watch for the time. "7:32 in the morning?!" He asked, more shocked at how early it was than anything.

I sucked in a sharp breath and stared at him in disbelief. My hands rested on my hips as I nervously chewed on my bottom lip. "You need to go." I stared blankly. He blinked a couple times, shaking his head.

"What..What do you mean?" He asked.

"Dominik, you need to leave. Now." I breathed out, attempting to keep my composure. He began to get out of the bed, and slowly make his way over to me.

"But after last ni-"

"Exactly." I stepped away. "That's exactly why you need to leave." I kept my eyes on the floor beneath us, panic my dear old friend beginning to take over my emotions.

"Laney, come on..." He pleaded softly; his hand found its way to side of my head. He cupped my cheek, forcing me to look into his eyes. My stomach churned as I was met with a look of confusion, desperation, and pain all in one.

I pushed his hand away without hesitation and walked to the door of my room. I opened it and held my arm out, motioning for him to follow in suit and leave. He stared at me momentarily, and million things clearly running through his mind before he reluctantly exited the room, his head hung low in defeat.

Fuck. My. Life.

A/N; Hey everyone! Sorry for such a short chapter, and such a delay in updates. I've been working a lot extra lately. But, I'm going to try to pump out at least another chapter tonight. In all honesty I'm starting to struggle with this story already. My mind is already wanting to work on a completely different idea...well like three different ideas really. But I owe it to those who have voted on this story already to see it through to the end <3
