As I said in the author's note in the last chapter is either going to be very long or very short. And I will tell you that it is short but not very short. It is shorter than the character short but it is more than 1000 words. Also no author's note at the end as I have nothing to currently say.

Y/N's POV

As I flew through the air after being launched, I couldn't help but wonder who I'd end up partnered with. This whole setup seemed ridiculous—first person you make eye contact with? I shrugged the thought off as I noticed I was rapidly approaching the ground. Time to focus.

I extended my claws, slashing at a nearby tree to slow my descent. The momentum sent me spiraling around the trunk, but I used it to my advantage, jumping off the tree to land on another. With one more leap, I finally landed safely on the ground.

"Really? I just landed, guys," I muttered to myself, already annoyed as four Ursa appeared, surrounding me.

One charged immediately, but I dodged out of the way just in time. Another tried to crush me with its front paws, but I countered with a Tiger Drop, sending the Ursa flying back, rag-dolling as it hit the ground. Not wasting any time, I unleashed a barrage of slashes, quickly ending its life.

Just as I turned, another Ursa was charging at me again—the same one I had dodged earlier. I created a Launching Rune behind it, sending the beast crashing through several trees in the distance.

"Man, I just love watching things turn into ragdolls," I said, chuckling as I sent one of the two remaining Ursas flying skyward with another Launching Rune.

The last Ursa charged at me, but its advance was cut short when a sharp spire of rock erupted from the ground beneath it, impaling the creature. I looked up to see the Ursa I had launched into the sky impaled on a tree. A clean job, I thought to myself, but I still remembered the one I'd launched through the trees.

Before I could track it down, I felt a blow coming from the side. I instinctively raised my arm, activating a Hard-Light Rune as a shield to block the strike from the last Ursa. The impact knocked me back an inch or two, but I managed to stand my ground. However, the attacks didn't stop. Swing after swing, I was forced to block, bracing against the assault.

Then I heard a gunshot, and the Ursa in front of me evaporated instantly. I turned toward the source of the shot, only to see Zemo standing there with one of his pistols drawn. Great.

He locked eyes with me, and I could practically feel the tension rise. This guy... I thought.

"It looked like you needed some help," Zemo said, his tone dripping with arrogance.

"Not really, but the help was appreciated," I replied dryly, not giving him the satisfaction of thinking I owed him anything.

We stared at each other for a moment, silently assessing one another. Despite the animosity, there was an unspoken agreement. We both knew what we wanted—to pass this initiation and get into Beacon. Nothing more, nothing less.

"So, we have to go that way, right?" I asked, pointing north.

"Correct," Zemo confirmed, and without another word, we started heading in that direction.

Octavia's POV

So far, this initiation has been a breeze. No, seriously—a literal breeze. My weapons were wrapped around the giant's foot, and he didn't even notice my presence until we landed in the clearing. I let go, dropping lightly onto the ground.
