Persephones Secret

The next day,  the girls wake up first and make breakfast for everyone. The kids were second to wake up and get dressed. Apollo and Luca decided to sleep in and so Artemis had to wake them up. As she opened the door, she saw the two peacefully sleeping next to each other. She rolled her eyes and shook Luca's shoulder to make him wake up. He woke up after being violently shaken and groaned. He looked at her and then back at Apollo, who was still sleeping right next to him, and blushed like he was just caught outside behind the church with a girl on a sunday morning. He covers his face and gets out of the bed, while trying not to wake Apollo up. Luca then asks Artemis what she wants and Artemis says that breakfast is done and the kids have already eaten. Luca nodes his head and leaves the cabin after putting a cloak on. After Luca leaves the cabin, Artemis then smacks her brother across the face hard to wake him up. Apollo wakes up and rubs his face, he then looks at artemis and glares at her. She tells him breakfast is done and everyone has already eaten. Apollo gets up and rubs his eyes, he stretches and puts his cloak on. They both leave the cabin of Zeus and walk to the cafeteria. Apollo eats and then they all sit down with the kids to talk. Apollo starts off by asking if they know who their parents are. The eldest of the three answer with yes and that their father is  Hades. Luca asks if he knows his mother and the boy shakes his head no. The boy says that their father told them that their mother left them with him and that it was for a good reason. While the three talk, Persephone is talking to the little twins, and asks if they know their mothers name. The girls nod their heads and say it's a secret. Persephone then has a flashback of her past and remembers she had twins with Hades and she taught them to say that when someone asks about her. She starts tearing up but quickly wipes her tears away. Artemis walks into the seating area after washing their plates and sits down by Persephone. Persephone welcomes her and tells her that the kids don't know their mother. Artemis feels sad for them and so she hugs the little girls. The girls hug back and let go after a few seconds. Persephone then asks why they were in her village. The eldest hears and answers for the girls. He says that they were actually looking for their mom, and that their father had said she would be there but they didn't find her. Persephone says that they can try finding her later after they find their cousins.  Luca agrees with Persephone and tells the girls along with their older brother that they should probably settle in at their cabin for now while the adults talk. The kids then go to their cabin and settle in. With the adults. Luca looks at Persephone and asks why she lied about finding their mother. Perssephone starts sweating a little and asks what he meant. Luca said he can notice lies from a mile away due to his childhood and that he noticed she had lied. Persephone takes a deep breath and asks Luca to go on a walk with her around camp. Luca nodes his head and follows her out of the cafeteria. Apollo and Artemis look at each other and back at the two leaving. They shrug their shoulders and go to the Zeus cabin to get a few beds ready for their siblings when they bring them to camp. With Persephone and Luca. Once they made it on a trail that's out of sight, Persephone starts to break down. Luca holds her arms and asks what's wrong. They sit on a log next to the trail and Persephone wipes her tears. She then says she knows who the kids' mother is and starts crying harder. Luca asks who she is and Persephone looks at him with a look of sadness and guilt. Luca's eyes widen as he realizes that she's their mother. Luca hugs her and she cries on his shoulder as she hugs him back. After she calmed down, she let go of Luca and told him the whole story. Luca listened carefully and after almost a whole thirty minutes of listening, his eyes were wide open with shock and concern. Luca then tells her it was ok and that she didn't have to tell the kids. She disagrees and says they'll find out sooner or later. Luca nodes his head and then asks if it was true that Zues actually isn't her dad and that he raped her. She nodes and says it's true, she then tells him that Zagreus is Zeus's kid not Hades's.  Luca nodes his head and stands up, he holds his hand out for her to grab and she grabs it. He then pulls her up off the log and they continue walking the trail so she could cool down a little more. With Apollo and Artemis. Apollo flicks his sister on the back of the head and hides. Artemis then tries finding him but fails. She goes and gets the kids from their cabin and has them try finding him. Not even three minutes later, the twins find him in a tree next to the Demeter cabin. Artemis then smacks him in the back of the head for hiding in a tree and they all laugh. Later in the afternoon, Persephone and Luca make it back to camp and head to where everyone else was at. Apollo notices and gets up from his spot to hug Luca and ask where they were. Luca says they were just walking the trails and that Persephone had something to tell the kids. Luca then nodded to Persephone after she sat down in front of the kids and told them to listen carefully. Artemis looks at Luca confused but Luca just says to watch and listen. Artemis does what he said, and turns to look at Persephone and the kids. Apollo and Luca then sit down next to each other at a table behind Persephone and the kids, along with Artemis. Persephone then takes a deep breath and looks at the kids with tears in her eyes. The kids look at her confused but stay and listen. Persephone then says she knows who their mother is and where she is. The kids look at her with hope in their eyes. Persephone then starts to tear up and says that their mother is right in front of them. She smiles as the kids realize what she meant and they stand up and hug her all at once. Artemis is confused but happy they have their mother. Luca watches them with a smile while holding Apollo's hand. Apollo on the other hand is just as confused and happy as Artemis. After their family reunion and eating dinner, they all go to their designated cabins and go to bed.  Neither of them remembering their task for tomorrow.
