I woke up around six o' clock the next morning to talk to Jerome about his date for Mara. I got my uniform on and fixed my hair, before heading downstairs. I knocked on his door, and he answered like he was waiting right on the other side.
"Woah," I said startled.
"Come on," he said, pulling me in. He sat me down on Alphie's bed, before sitting on his own and pulling out a pen and notepad."Alright, I need you to help me plan the perfect date for Mara and I. I was thinking a picnic and thought that was too original. Maybe a dinner at a fancy restraunt? Too expensive..."
"Jerome calm down," I said tired, "Just think of something simply romantic. Like, a picnic at a fancy dinner table? An easy combination of a picnic and fancy dinner. Or a date in a secret room? Say, an attic?"
"A fancy picnic in the attic!" he shouted.
"Why not?" I smiled.
"Thank you!" he hugged me before releasing me and giving me an awkward smile.
"Be good to Mara!" I said, standing up. I walked to the door and turned the knob slightly before Jerome stopped me. He slammed the door and kept his hand firmly pressed against it. He whispered in my ear.
"Why not stay a while longer?" he asked.
I looked at him weirdly. That didn't sound like Jerome. I slapped him across the face. I observed his face and saw a red glow in his eyes.
"Senkarah," I growled.
"Jerome," I said, "Fight back. Get her out."
I looked at him, and he began to twitch. The red glow left his eyes and he collapsed to the floor. "JEROME!" I screeched. He was rapidly breathing and had sweat drizzling on his forehead.
"I'm fine," he mumbled. I helped him up.
"We need to get you some water, come on," I said. I slung his arm around my shoulders and he limped out of the room. As soon as we left the room, I ran straight into Fabian.
He glared at Jerome, before looking at me. "What happened?" he asked flatly.
"Relax pretty boy, Senkarah possessed him. We need to get some water in him," I rolled my eyes, before shoving him out of the way.
By the time we got to the kitchen it was about 6:45 and Vera was downstairs. "What happened?" she asked when she saw me sitting on the couch next to a passed out Jerome. Mara walked in right behind her.
"What happened?" she asked.
"Uh-h, he just needs to rest," I said, "He isnt feeling well."
"Alright, get him in his room," Vera said annoyed.
"I can help him," Mara said as I stood to help Jerome. She neared me. "Back off," she whispered.
"What?"
"Alright sit down if you want breakfast," Vera said.
I sat down next to Fabian. "Pretty boy?" he asked irritably.
"Be quiet," I smiled, holding his hand.
He squeezed my hand before Patricia walked in with Eddie.
"Hello happy couple," I gushed.
"Yeah, this couple isn't so happy," he grumbled, "Yacker here isnt being so happy."
"Shut up," Patricia said, before turning right around and walking away.
"Patricia, wait," I called after her. I turned to Eddie. "What, now?"
He pulled me out of the room for a moment. "This girl Justine likes me and she tried to make a move. A serious one."
"Meaning?"
"She tried to kiss me," he mumbled.
"Oh no," I sighed, "Eddie!"
"It wasn't my fault. Then Patricia walked up to my locker right as Justine tried to kiss me and...well youget the picture."
I nodded before pushing him out of the way and running up the stairs to Patricia. She was sitting on her bed, sulking.
"Go away," she said.
"You think I'm going to listen to you? Patricia it was all a misunderstanding, Justine kissed him," I said.
"Then why did he kiss her back?"
That wasnt part of the story. "What are you talking about, Eddie didnt say anything about that."
"Well duh." she said "I turned the corner and I saw him kissing her. He didnt try to get away."
I paused. "I think I know whats going on."
