--Chapter 1--
___________________________For all he'd known, Kuroo had probably hated him since the beginning.
At the very least, he convinced himself he did. So, considering he's told everyone about it, everyone must know.
So if she did known, why in the world would she pair him up with this guy?
"Can't you make any changes now?" Kuroo whined.
Kiyoko sighed, "I can't. I already submitted your team's catalogue to Mr. Takeda. Either way, I didn't request you to. It's an order," she said as curtly as she could. Kuroo wouldn't listen to her if she didn't.
"I don't want to work with him! Him! Of all people!" He whined again. He heard a click of tongue from behind him.
"Stop whining Kuro. It's not a good look on you," Bokuto said softly. It was surprising to see him quiet.
'Kuro'.
Back then, it was either Kuro or Tetsu, depending on where they were.
No. He wouldn't let it get to his head.
"Shut up, okay? No one asked for your fucking opinion," Kuroo stated rudely.
"Kuroo, my child is sleeping in the other room, so don't you swear in my office," Kiyoko replied. Kuroo snapped his head at her, "Why don't you point me in a direction where I give a shit?"
She sneered, "Sure, come early to work tomorrow. Your team's meeting is advanced to tomorrow."
...Bad move.
Kuroo stormed out of the office right after, muttering colorful words under his breath.
Bokuto shrugged. "Thank you, Kiyoko-san," he bowed and left.
"Here, give Kuroo this catalogue," She said while giving him a folder of five pages. Bokuto nodded as he took it and left.
Luckily, Kuroo had been standing in front of the lift. He looked pissed.
As the elevator pinged, he was about to enter in.
"Kuro!" Bokuto called out. He spared him a glance but then walked into the lift.
Bokuto sprinted to the elevator and slapped his palm against the door, just nearly snapping his hands into two.
Kuroo rolled his eyes, "Leave me alone," he muttered. Bokuto nodded, "I will. I just need two things from you though," he said and stepped into the elevator.
Clearly, Kuroo was uncomfortable since he scooted himself into a corner. Bokuto respected that and did the same.
He held the catalogue out, "That's your copy. It's about all the people in our team," he said. Kuroo snatched it out of his hand. At least his teammates were good.
"And, I need your number," Bokuto said.
Kuroo stopped looking at the list. "Are you kidding me?"
"I mean, what if there's something we need to discuss? I need your number," Bokuto retorted. Well, he did have a point there.
Kuroo sighed and held his phone out, "Scan it," he murmured.
"Oh, the same number from back then, huh?" Bokuto asked. "No shit. I just deleted your contact," Kuroo replied. He got a hum as a reply.
Kuroo had realized that there were some days Bokuto had his hair down, un-gelled. He never questioned it though.
Once the elevator reached the ground floor, Kuroo powerwalked out of that situation.
