"Really?" Toha asked for the 10nth time

"You actually gave him your number?" He asks you

"What else could I say, 'Sorry but I am into my teacher?'" you say

Toha presses his lips into a thin line, you know well enough that he's biting back a very nasty reply

"You could have said 'Take it from your hobo bestie '" Toha says, rolling his eyes

"Owh, I forgot" you mutter

"That Ayden gave his hobo brother the number?" Toha says

"That's not his brother-"

"Look at you already defending that shit"

Well, it all started when you received a call from Ayden but you panicked and cut the call. Suspicious Mr. Tohalock Holmes had to get to the roots of the issue.

"Okay, okay. I won't talk to him" that's what you say

He doesn't approach you, he simply waves. You know for certain after yesterday that Ayden isn't quiet because he's shy, he is quiet because he doesn't feel the need to talk. Still better he can stood up for himself and others.

He's not much of a bother, maybe becoming close to him could lead your heart rebounded. Maybe get on a more platonic scale of one sided love for Mr. Kim if Ayden gets on a romantic side with you.

Soon it was maths, you were done with the classwork.

When you submit it, Toha stares at you mouth agape.

"Mr. Kim MUST be Voldemort to have you dancing like Nagini" Toha says coming back to seat

"Don't compare me to you crush " you laugh feeling a teensy bit sassy, he's the only person you've got the guts to roast anyway

"As if you'll know" he huff rolling his eyes

You receiv a text

Ayden :  Ssup, Beautiful?

You : In class, sorry

And you switch your phone off

As you head out, you switch it on.

Bombarded with text from Ayden, you wipe your glasses. You've never gotten so many text at once

Ayden: so you're busy?

Ayden : When are you free?

Ayden : if you aren't too busy after class, can we hang out?

Ayden: it's perfectly fine if you say no

Ayden : I'll understand if you're busy

Ayden : Are you there?

The last time you've gotten so many messages was when you've forgot to turn of the tap and left for school. Your mother rfaced a flood when she came back from work.

The other time was when you came back from the date with Abel and Toha was eager to know the details.

As much as you don't want to decline is offer, you have to since you've made plans with Mr. Kim.

If it was a physical conversation, you're sure you wouldn't be able to decline. But that's the thing, you can actually be yourself when there's not a pair of eyes anticipating a reply from you or measuring your responses.

You : Sorry, Ayden. I don't think I'll get time today

You : I had an appointment

You feel a bit bad since he's also himself on text, he's a fellow quiet kid and you simpathise him

You sit in front of Mr. Kim, the smell of burnt wood almost gone. Replacing was the smell of citrus, floral and vanilla. You highly doubt that's the smell of some air freshener, it has to be his perfume.

So much to maintain a low profile, he could just stop teaching and be a full-time B. J. He'd probably be able to afford all fashion brands.

"Good job," he scans through your homework, not one math wrong.

"Okay, so we can now go ahead with the mock test" he announces

You stare at him as if he just said you'll fly, what he announced is equivalent to flight powers for you

"Yes, don't give me that look. I didn't say you've grown cat ears and whiskers" he chuckles saying

You chew on you lips, you feel you cheeks heating up

He starts explaining what not to do first, then he explains what to do. Like not start with the first math you see, first class through the question paper.

Maybe later, when you have seen all the questions, start with something that takes the least amount of time but also comes within your capacity.

Then work your way up.

Now you know why you were always doing so bad with maths.
