You wake yourself up, you slept late this weekend. You stood up the whole night.

But not for what you are thinking though

You freshen up and come down to have lunch with your mother.

"You're up, darling? I've bakes cooking!" Your mother says

She's never ever bakes cookies, you're scared

"Ohhh wow!" You say feign plesentaries

"It's cookies and milk from breakfast" she say

You dont dip the cookie in milk, scared that ur might ruin the taste of milk. But you nibble a cookie

Shocked that it's edible, no actually it's good!

"It's gwood" you say with mouthful of food

"Have more, I made a huge batch. I've already packed a basket for Jonathan's family "she says

Jonathan? The name rings a few bells? But curse your memory because you don't remember...

"The one who's checked all your boxes?" You ask

"Yes, he did" she says biting into one of the cookies

"He's invited us for lunch so be ready. I want you both to have the best impressions on each other " she says

She seems hopeful, it's not good because everytime your mother is hopeful, she end up disappointed just like your father made her.

You wear a brown checkered skirt under a chocolate t shirt. You styled your hair in a ponytail

As you come down the stairs, you see your mother beautifully draped in a silk shirt with in icy blue and a pair of black dress pants

"Let's go, girl!" She says

She's so cheerful, you smile.

You ring the bell and the one to open is a boy that looks awfully familiar but he's no more than 9,

"You must be Mrs. Miller?" The boy asked

"Why yes, and you are Austin?" She asks

"Yes, come in. Father is with my older brother, they're having a fight so it may take a while" the child says, showing you guys the living room

"He takes the maturity after his father" you mother whisper in your ears

*Sounds of things breaking*

"It's not even five years and started dating?" The faint noises come to your ears

"Son, you never said you were against the idea" the father assumably

"Well, why of all people you chose my classmate's mother? To embarrass me?" The son yells loudly

"That's not supposed to be your problem" the father says

"I won't let you marry that woman, I'm going to mom" the boy sound irritably familiar but you're too stupid to pin point who

The familiar boy is seen walking out of the door with loud stomping footsteps
