"Yes" you say staring at him, nope he won't kiss, Don't even think about it- you remind yourself

And with that he removes the hand from your shoulder

You nod eagerly a painful lot.

Now you're actually embarrassed as you hide you face behind your hands

"It's about 10 pm, do you want me to walk you home?" He asks

"I'll be able to go alone, thank you " you say

"Okay, and let's review the maths in a fresh mind tomorrow. Take rest today, don't open the books when you go home" he says

"Yes sir" you say almost to loudly as you walk out of the doors.

He closes them

You didn't want him to pity you but being comfortwd by him felt too nice. Maybe you've gotten greedy, everyone leaves anyway.
