"YOU ABSOLUTE FOOL!" Cory panted, landing at the bottom of that blasted mountain. She was splayed over the hood of the black car, not even caring for the heat it produced. "Did you have to get kidnapped by a god? By Ares?! Be thankful Thea immediately called me she landed in Italy."

Matthias groaned, "How is this my fault?! Ares was being a prick and Apollo is delusional enough to think I'm some hero. Fuck that! Even my stupid sire thinks I'm meant to be a hero and two of us know that I am the literal antonym of what a Hero means." He panted, shaking his head and splattering his sweat and water everywhere. Cory hissed, hitting him on the arm while he ran his fingers through his wet hair.

"Why the hell is it you? The past Greek Heroes are rolling in their graves. They'd be trying to rise from the underworld to stop you from becoming a hero!" Cory yelled, continuing to slap him on the arm. "Perseus and Odysseus would beg Hades to bring them before you could even call yourself a hero—"

Their bickering came to an abrupt stop as the car loudly blared at them. They turned to see their beloved getaway driver—Thea glaring at them before she stuck her head out the window. "Get in before they decide to chase us! Gods can teleport, remember?!" Her voice was tinged with panic, befitting her current emotions.

Matthias was quick to slip into the backseat, while Cory sat beside Thea. Without a moment's notice, they were already driving away from the foot of Mt. Olympus, speeding through the road and breaking several driving laws in the process. With how fast they were going, Matthias could barely lock his seatbelt, being flung against both sides of the car with every swerve and turn Thea took. He was sure that it gave him a concussion.

"Where do we go?" Thea asked, her body trembling but her hands, god, they were steady and stable, finding comfort in the steering wheel she tightly gripped. Cory heaved a sigh, placing a hand over Thea's, urging her to calm down while Matthias thought of where to go.

"We can't go to my mom's... fuck... if anything, Poseidon will go there to ask her where I am." He pursed his lips, clenching and unclenching his fist at the thought. "We can't take any kind of transportation to leave Greece. By plane, Zeus will sense us. By boat, Poseidon will be there in no time... fuck..."

"Then where the hell do we go?" Thea yelled, distressed as she looked around wildly. "Why the hell do we not have a safe house in Greece?"

"Because it's too close to Olympus. We're not stupid enough to hide in Greece."
