From enemies to brothers

Ch-11 New Plan

Virat and Anushka started texting each other and getting to know more about each other.
Anushka was really funny and sweet and unique. Virat didn't think he had ever met a girl like her. But it did make him fear about whether he's being disloyal to Maya by texting Anushka.

Though his brain assured him that they are just texting, he was still feeling uneasy thinking that he's doing something wrong. He knew that he loved maya the most and no one could come closer but then also he always worried about what maya will say if she finds out that he's texting Anushka. Particularly because virat had realized maya didn't really like anushka for some reason. He had also asked her not to believe in the rumours but she said that she doesn't get a good feeling about anushka which really confused virat because she actually seemed genuine and not like some other actors and actresses that he had met who just pretended to be nice because he was a well known cricketer.

On the other side, anushka had started to like virat as a person. He was so sweet and true unlike most of the celebrity friends she had. It was unfortunate, she had realized, that how much alike both mahi and virat were in terms of personality but yet were enemies due to misunderstandings. They both were caring, genuine and honest, they would have really been close as brothers, if only there would be no misunderstandings between them.

Virat and rohit were sitting with each other, when virat's phone rang.
He picked it up.
"Hello?"
.......
"What?
.....
"Great, I am so happy. Come soon."
......
"Okay, bye."

"Who was it?" Ro asked after vi had ended the call.
"Maya, she's coming tomorrow. She said she's free for sometime so she has decided to come."

Rohit frowned but did not say anything. "Glad to hear that." He said unhappily which luckily vi did not notice because he was too happy.

"But you haven't informed your mother about her, right? Do you think she will take it well?"

"I hope so." Vi said. "I mean anyways it's time for them to meet now."

"Isn't it too soon?"

"Nope, don't think so. And I am going upstairs to prepare a room for her." Vi added and went upstairs while Ro just watched him, sighing.
'They really have to do something quickly. Vi is even ready to make Maya meet her mother.' Ro thought.

In the evening since virat had to go out with his mother, to meet some friends of her, rohit was alone at home and he instantly decided to go to mahi bhai's hotel where he was staying and they called Anushka also

"Do you know Maya is coming tomorrow and Virat said he's going to introduce her as his girlfriend to his mother." Rohit informed them.

"What?" Anu asked shocked. "so soon?"

Ro nodded. "Which also means that he's serious about her."

"So what do we do now? How do we stop it?" Mahi asked.

"I have an idea." Anu said.
"I know what she wants. She wants money, right? What if I introduce her to an even richer boy and then we can expose her in front of virat."

"Do you know anyone that closely who would be ready to help?" Rohit asked.

"Well I know someone. I can't say if he's richer than virat, but he can surely act like that. And he's a close friend of mine, so I am sure he will help."

"Ok, who's he and what does he do? Is he an actor? Because if he's also an actor than surely Maya would have heard about him."

"Don't worry, rohit, he's not an actor and I don't think Maya knows him. He's name is Ranbir Kapoor and he's a son of a rich businessman and he also has his own Businesses. Let me call him."

Anu called ranbir and he picked it up immediately. After greeting him, she told him that she needed his help but it would be better if they discussed it after meeting face to face. He agreed and said that he will come after two days.

Anu thanked him and then they ended the call.

"So he has agreed to come after two days." She told mahi and Rohit.

"So till then what do we do?" Ro asked.
"The only thing you can do rohit, right now, is keep an eye on Maya."

Rohit nodded. "I think I should leave. Virat just texted saying that he's on his way."
Mahi and Anushka nodded and said goodbye as Rohit left from there.

"We have to save him." Mahi said to anu after a little while. "please try to convince your friend to help us."

"Don't worry, I will. And I am sure he will help us." Anu reassured him. "I can see you really love your brother." She added.

"No, I don't, and he's not my brother, he's my step brother." Mahi corrected her.

"No one goes through this much trouble for someone they don't love."

"I just feel bad for him, because once, even if it was only for a short time, we were close. But that doesn't mean I love him."

"What if you give your relationship a try? What if you two try being brothers?"

"That can never happen."

"Why? Why can it never happen?"

"It just can't." Mahi said.

"No, I want to know. As your friend I want to know the reason." Anu insisted.

Mahi sighed. "Two reasons. First- he thinks I had tried to kill him, so he himself will never accept me as his brother and second I know he has no fault in this, but everytime I look at him and his mother, I feel anger towards them as I feel like because of them my father sent me away and believed in them instead of me. I know this makes me sound immature because virat was not even at fault, all he did that day was cry, because he was so traumatized of almost falling, but it is what it is. Everytime I look at him, I am reminded of how my dad slapped me for the first time ever and then did not even listen to me and sent me to Mumbai. So, I don't think I can ever become brothers with him."

Anushka understood the point of view of mahi and how he must have felt seeing his father believe his new family over him. It must have been painful. But she was sure mahi cared for virat more than he accepted to himself. If only virat could realize that mahi was not the one trying to kill him, the situation would be so different.

She didn't know the reason, but she felt like she had to do something for them. Had to find a way to reunite them.
She knew she cared for mahi because he was a good friend of hers, but she had no idea why she was caring for virat.

'Was there a chance that she was starting to have feelings for him?' Anu immediately shook that thought from her mind after realizing what she was thinking.
Right now she had to focus on saving Virat from Maya. There's no chance she would allow Maya to ruin another person, especially the said person being her friend's brother.
'I will save you virat.' Anu thought determined.

If someone's wondering why I added ranbir kapoor its just because I love Anushka and his friendship. Recently I was watching some videos of them especially during the promotion of ae dil hai mushkil and I realised what great friends they are and decided to take him as new character.

And I know this chapter was a little boring but hopefully as the story progresses it will become more interesting.
