It had been a few days since you got recused by Vertin from The Storm in the era of 1984 and you got along with some of the other Arcanists, a few you saw as best friends, some as acquaintances but then there was one person who kinda didn't seem comfy with you... which was Jessica

You never understood why Jessica was so jumpy or scared when you were around her and when you try to talk to her she hides behind her best friend Blonney who seems a bit confused herself but insists that Jessica is busy or just isn't in the mood for chatting today and you often feel a bit sad by this but never held it against her so you leave her alone

You often try to think of ways of how to make her feel comfortable with you, such as writing notes with compliments or questions, helping her with errands, even asking her if she'd like to talk but not much has changed so you decide to just focus on your own thing such as your favorite hobbies or just practicing your arcane skills since yours is more of a build up first then fire type of skill

You always wear a white coat with long sleeves that are too long for your arms but you enjoy the big coat since... it was a gift from a human friend or more likely the ONLY thing you were able to take with you when you joined Vertin, so you keep it as a way to remember your human friend

You're often in your room messing around with random trinkets and potions or really... anything that you see to break apart and put together or fix and make better, either way your practically a wiz at it from all the teachings from humans

One day you were in the lobby doing your thing when Horropedia walks up to you with a dorky smile wanting to invite you to a horror movie night, he listed the names of a few people and obviously Jessica was on that list and you already know this would end... so you politely declined his invitation and made up an excuse like work or something and he leaves

You took this chance to go to your room and wear your coat for comfort... you aren't as confrontational as anyone else thinks... and upon entering your room, it was gone... the cost was gone and it wasn't on the bed where you left it, you frantically search under the bed, in the closet, between gaps but alas you find nothing and get worried about where it went... so you exit your room and look around

It had been an hour of looking and you start feeling anxious about this and while you were internally panicking, Jessica was walking around and pauses seeing you and realized you didn't have your coat on and she walked over to you cautiously

She asked why you weren't wearing your lab coat and that made you feel more than confused but you dismiss your confusion and tell her that you couldn't find it in your room so your looking around for it and she decides to ask you a question

Jessica: are you... going to experiment on me?

You: excuse me?

Jessica: I thought... you were going to experiment on me...

You: okay I don't know where you got that idea from but I'm not going to experiment on you.

Jessica: are you not a...

You: no.. I'm not a scientist! I'm just an arcanist who likes to rip machines apart and piece them together for fun

Jessica tilts her head and smiles as you two begin to actually converse with each other and it goes surprisingly well since now she knows you aren't a phycho scientist that wants to experiment on her but you still feel a bit anxious about your coat...

Jessica decides to try and help you and you both go through the suitcase, you both talk and play around and joke as a way to calm you down and get to know each other trying to look for it and finally find it in... Horropedia's room and upon opening it, both Blonney and Horropedia holding the coat and looking at you and Jessica with a smile

It took you a long while to realize and you are definitely furious and Jessica on the other hand is just happy that you and her finally found it but of course you wanted to rip them both a new one but you calmly let it go and took the coat back and put it on feeling at ease again

Blonney of course apologized but the plan did work which you were confused but she explained that she sent Jessica on a little walk and so she can see you without the coat and maybe talk to you and she was surprised that the plan even worked since Jessica seems very comfy now if not friendly

Horropedia mentioned that he got roped into this but he clearly doesn't regret any of this and said that he was tired of seeing you losing your game and of course you nearly blasted his head off but held back and just went back to your room and when you did you see a little note on your bed and it said

"Want to play with me and Blonney tomorrow?"

You smile at the note and place it on the table and hop into bed and relax feeling happy despite how weird the whole day was... but regardless you at least got to clear up the misunderstandings with Jessica and hopefully things get better
