On one Thursday morning, in Sikowitz's classroom, he addressed the class. "Alright, class; I have big news," he started. Everyone looked at him, even the shruggers. "In just four days, we'll be having an exam."

Everyone waited for him to say more, but he remained silent.

"Can you tell us anything about it?" Tori asked finally.

"All I can say is that it'll be a difficult one," Sikowitz answered.

"That doesn't seem like a lot of information," Jade pointed out.

"Okay, you want me to be more specific?" Sikowitz asked, and the class nodded in unison. "It will not be a written exam; it'll be an exercise."

"That's good, but can you elaborate?" Andre asked.

"Yes. There's a famous theory that says that in order to get on...someone else's good side, you treat them with respect. So, we're turning this into a contest. Whoever can do the nicest thing for someone else, will get ten extra credit points on their final exam," Sikowitz said.

"That simple?" Tori asked, curious.

"Yes," Sikowitz stated simply.

"Does the one with the highest points get a prize?" Cat asked with a beaming smile.

"Well," Sikowitz started. "Simply put, yes, an A+. If you consider that a prize."

Tori updated her status on TheSlap which read: "Hmm what's Sikowitz playing at? - MOOD = Curious".

After the bell rang, the class left. Tori and her friends met up in the hallway.

"I wonder what Sikowitz is playing at?" Tori mused as she opened her locker.

"Well, whatever it is," Andre said. "It sounds like it's official."

"Yeah...How about, we make this all interesting?" Jade smirked.

"What're you getting at?" Tori asked her with raised brows, as she finished putting her things away.

"Well, we'll track which one of you gains enough points from Sikowitz by the end of the week. The loser gets to babysit someone on Monday night," Jade proposed.

"Babysit?" Robbie asked her, shocked.

"Yep," Jade said simply. "Long story short, Beck's out of town for a few days and Cat and I have plans to go to a concert. With Cat being our confused redhead, she forgot to cancel a babysitting gig for the night of the concert."

"I was distracted," Cat pouted. Her shoulders were fidgety. She coiled her hair around her finger again and again, scowling at Jade. "I said I was sorry."

"You get distracted easily," Jade added, before returning to the point. "Anyways, you guys in?"

"What's in it for the winner?" Tori asked, eyeing Jade suspiciously.

"The winner gets to come with us to the concert," Jade answered. "We bought an extra ticket." She pulled out the ticket from her bag and waved it at everyone.

"You got a ticket to see Maroon 5?!" Tori made a grab for the ticket but Jade pulled back with a smile.

"Next week, Vega," Jade said before putting the ticket away.

"Wait, so how will we track the points?" Tori asked, her interest piqued.

This challenge had a reward worth salivating over. Tori was nice - sickeningly nice - when she wanted to be. If that was all Sikowitz needed from her, Tori's only real competition was Cat or Andre. Tori looked at Cat, still pouting and playing with her hair. She was nice, but she wasn't organized enough for a competition.

But Andre? He stood beside Tori with an easy air about him, smiling and charming as ever. He matched Tori's gaze, a wicked gleam in his eye that said "Bring it on."

"I thought it was obvious," Jade retorted. "Sikowitz will eventually let us know the points and you guys better hope for the best."

"Wait, so you aren't going to try to get points?" Tori asked.

"Nope." Jade shrugged. "And neither is Cat."

Cat frowned. "Aw, I was looking forward to it..."

Just then, the bell rang for second period and everyone parted ways.

Tori updated her status on TheSlap which read: "Hoping to win this week's bet with JadeWest... - MOOD = Hopeful".
