Roman POV.
Damn it. Being so incredibly talented has once again proven itself to be a curse. I looked
around what used to be my room, but now more closely resembled a deep forest. Faint calls of a dragon witch could be heard from near a castle off in the distance. I sighed, and exited my room.
It really wasn't my fault this time. I just have to great of an imagination! As I slept last
night, I dreamt of being on a dangerous mission to save a lost prince in the castle, a man meant to be my soulmate. But, that castle was guarded by an evil dragon witch. I made a grand journey across the vast forest and defeated the dragon witch, then began searching for my dear lost lover. Oh, what a moving story. I truly am brilliant, even while asleep.
Well, usually I am. I woke up this morning to the sound of a tree branch falling, and then
to the feeling of a tree branch falling on my face. I accidentally summoned my dream into reality, and somehow did so in my sleep.
Now, this alone wouldn't have been too big of a problem. I could just get rid of it again,
right? Sadly, it's not quite as simple as that. After waking up to the lovely feeling of being assaulted by a tree, I watched as the dragon witch pulled Logan and Remus into the forest. I also caught a glimpse of it sticking them in the castle, which it now seemed to be guarding.
Before you get more worked up than Garard Gay at a hot topic sale, don't worry. There
sides, they can't die. And even if we could, the dragon witch can't hurt them because it doesn't actually exist. But, if I get rid of the forest with Logan and Remus in it, I have no idea what would happen to them. Though those weirdos are not much to concern myself with, I feel like I should at least save them from... possibly ceasing to exist.
As incredible as I am, I know I couldn't save them both myself. Debbie downer and Pat
would freak out too much if I told them about this though... leaving me with only one option, and returning me to my initial Damn it. I have to work with the snake.
Janus POV.
The second I heard the banging on the door, I already knew it was roman. I never thought
somebody could knock that dramatically.
"Don't come in!" I called out, continuing to read my book. He must have assumed that
was a lie, so he barged in anyway. Great. I needed my daily dose of ego today, I suppose.
"Yes, Roman?" I asked as the princely figure stood in my doorway. Though we have been
working to improve our "Friendship" (Better described as forced acquaintance), I still didn't care much for his company. It's not unsurprising that Roman is charming, he is a prince after all. Nevertheless, his ego is large enough to choke on and his intelligence is... lacking, to say the least.
"Janus, I did something." Roman stated as he entered my room and shut the door behind
him. Oh lord. The fact Roman was capable of doing anything at all without a babysitter is scary enough. But from the tone I received in this instance, I knew he f-ked up.
"One second, princy." I went to the other side of my room, grabbed a glass and a bottle of
mine, chugged a glass full, poured another, and went back over to Roman. Something told me I would need the boost. "Alright Roman, what did you manage to do? Explain."
And explain he did. He told me about a strange dream, about accidentally summoning the
dragon witch, about watching Remus and Logan being dragged away, and about insisting that we dont tell Virgil or Patton out of fear of an intense over reaction. I was right about the wine thing, by the end of the story I was already down 5 glasses. Not that it made much of a difference, sides can't exactly get drunk. Still, it helped me keep my hands and mouth occupied so I didnt slap him across the face or scream at him. Instaid, I simply sighed and got an empty duffle bag out from under my bed.
"So when do we leave?" I asked, already carefully packing some flasks for the road.
