I looked back to see who called me. He rushed over to me with a teary eye and smiley face. I immediately recognised him. "Childe?" He hugged me without wasting a second. "I thought you we wouldn't meet again, Comrade. I was waiting..." I didn't know what to say. I stood there in his embrace, trying to reply. "How are you.." "I'm fine now, after seeing you." "What are you doing in Liyue?" "I'm just hanging out. Didn't expect to see you here. When did you come?" "Just arrived here. Zhongli wishes to see me." "Oh..? Shall I accompany you? It's been a while since I've seen that man out." "Sure, why not. He must be at the Wangsheng funeral parlor." We started talking about our lives and walked towards the parlor. "Traveler! What a surprise!" Hu Tao called out.
"Nice seeing you again, Hu Tao. How have you been?" "Extraordinary! haha. I hope you are doing extraordinary too!" I smiled. "Yes. Is Zhongli here?" "Yes, he is inside. Should I tell him about your arrival?" "That's okay. I already sensed your presence here, Traveler. Childe?" "Yeah Mister Zhongli~ Fancy meeting you again." "We met yesterday at the harbour, didn't we?" "Well, that doesn't count as you just smiled and walked away without calling me over for a tea." "Some other time. Traveler, why don't we go somewhere else to talk?" "Sure." "Come to the Wangshu inn then." "Alright. See you." With that said, Zhongli left the building with Hu Tao. "Why don't we go to Wangshu inn and wait for him?" "Okay if that's what you want, Comrade~" Childe replied with a bright smile as he always does. The meeting went well with Zhongli and Childe arguing about yesterday. I feel so happy after meeting them face to face instead of a phone screen. I remember my time with them while doing the quests. Even though some were hard, I felt at ease after completing most of them. "I'll be taking my leave then, Traveler." "Traveler, I'm leaving with him then. I have an important matter to discuss with him. Well, someone's waiting to meet you right at that corner." Childe points towards the left corner. A familiar figure indeed. "Okay then, see you all later." We bid farewell and I approached the person standing at the corner.
"Traveler, what brings you here?" It's him. It's been so long...Xiao. "I came here to meet Zhongli. I did not think I would run into you here. How are you..you were badly injured the last time we met.." "I'm alright. I hope you are all okay as well." He looked at me with a longing expression and held my hands. "Traveler, I wish to speak to you in private. Shall we head to the stone forest?" "Okay..." We teleported to the Guyun stone forest as Xiao wished. "What's your real name? I've never asked right?" "Yes..I'm Kaya." "Beautiful name indeed." I chuckled. "What did you want to talk about, Xiao?" "I wanted to tell you something important." "What is it?" "Uh.. I really want to protect you always. I don't want to wait until you call my name." I stood there motionless, trying to process a suitable reply to that. Xiao wants to protect me? Is he trying to confess? oh my...I chose Kaeya. How am I going to say it to Xiao. He doesn't even know him.
This change in his way of talking made me feel so bad for him. I once liked him as well. Romantically..I wasn't quite sure on confessing but for Kaeya, my feelings are clear as day and deep as night. I wish he was here right now to help me out. I'm feeling so awkward. "Are you okay? You look all flustered." "Ah...Ah..yes yes I'm okay.." "You don't have to reply now. Just call me when you feel like answering. I'll let you rest now. I'll drop you off at the inn." "Thankyou Xiao.." He drops me off at the inn and disappears into thin air. It's night now. I'm so tired from travelling all over. Kaeya will come tomorrow. Ah...I miss him already...
Kaeya's pov:
I wonder how she would be doing right now. Well, I'll go there in a minute. Everything seems to have been solved here. Diluc said he will handle the rest and told me to go to her. She must be sleeping right now.
The sunlight gently enters the room as I opened my eyes. The scene I saw was even brighter than the sunlight itself. His eye was way too similar to the milky way. I could see the whole universe in it. I wonder why he covered one of his eyes with an eyepatch.
