...

You and Bang Chan were high school sweethearts. Together 24/7, skipping class together, holding hands under the table... you two were inseparable, as your parents would say. Chan was on the basketball team playing point-guard, along with the swim team. You were on the dance team, and secretary of Beta Club. A pretty athletic duo, I might say. Even when you two would get in trouble with your coaches.

"Wanna skip chem together?" Bang Chan asked, smirking as he leaned against the lockers, looking at you. "I can't this time Chan... sorry," you said as you grabbed your stuff out of your locker. Chan frowned. "That's what you've been saying..." Even though chemistry wasn't your strongest subject, you still skipped it because it was hard so you just gave up and slacked off with your boyfriend, Chan. But now, it's May and your grade is a C-. That won't be looking good for college...

"Look, Chan, as much as I wanna skip, my grades are slipping and it's getting too close to the end of the year for this..." you sighed. "I'm sorry, I just-" Bang Chan interrupts you. "No, it's fine." His expression turned cold and he walked away.

That's strange, Chan never acts like that... you thought. You watch his figure get smaller and smaller as he walks away. You instantly felt guilty, and your heart ached...

What if he was losing his connections with you? Like, loosing feelings..?

..🌅..

After school, you started to look for Chan, but he was nowhere to be found. You asked his friends and they said he went home already. You immediately sprinted to his house, dashing through students and people walking on the sidewalk. When you make it to his house, you ring the door bell. You wait eagerly hoping someone is home. Just then, you hear the sound of his dog, Berry barking and her tiny figure walking towards the door. You smile at the cute little sight.

You see a blurry figure walking towards the door. It starts to unlock and it opens. Standing there is Bang Chan's mom, Mrs. Bang.

"Oh hi y/n! How nice is it to see you?" She greeted you with a warm smile as she stood in front of Berry, keeping the door closed slightly to prevent Berry from jumping on your legs. You smiled back. "Hi Mrs. Bang, I was wondering if Bang Chan is home?" You asked with a little hope in your voice as your hand squeezed the strap of your backpack. "He is! He's in his room, but I'm not sure if he's in the best mood right now. He didn't look too happy when he got home." Her words are getting slightly more gloomy and her expression is dropping. "It might have something to do with me, can I talk to him please?" Mrs. Bang nodded and opened the door wider so you could come in.

You walked in slowly observing the house. Berry wagging her tail like crazy, waiting for you to notice her. Hannah then grabbed Berry and smiled at you. "Hi y/n! Are you looking for someone?" She asks kindly, tilting her head. "Yeah for Chan, he's upstairs right?" Hannah rolled her eyes playfully. "Did you guys fight or something?" She asked with a sly smirk. You giggled. "Girl no, it was just a simple misunderstanding.." you shook your head and said. "Y/n. I saw your worried expression when you walked in... something's definitely up." She put Berry down and crossed her arms.

"Hannah, it's nothing. No fight, no argument. I promise." You gave her a reassuring smile. She gave you a, "Are you sure?" look. "Hannah!" you laughed. "Alright fine, I believe you. Now go make my angry bird, brother happy.." she joked. You nodded and chuckled. You walked up the stairs and saw that Bang Chan's room door was closed. You stopped in front of his door and took a deep breath before knocking on the door. "Chan..?" You asked softly.

Chan slowly stopped what he was doing at the sound of your voice. You quickly stood up and walked towards the door. You looked up when he opened the door. His expression looked neutral but also with a bit of shock. "Look, I'm sorry if I offended you or upset you in any way... I know the grade I have in chemistry is passing, but my parents won't accept that... and I won't accept it either. I'm sorry, if you're mad at me. I-" you were cut off by Bang Chan hugging you.

"This is all my fault... I'm sorry I should've never been rude walking away like that... I swear I'm not losing feelings I was just disappointed because..." Chan trails off. "Because..?" You question. Chan thinks for a moment and pulls away from you. He stares at you for a moment. "Wait here..." he runs back into his room and rummages through his bag. You peer at him. "Chan what are you doing?" Chan puts his hand up. "Wait! Don't look! Go back to the door!" He exclaims. Your eyebrows rise in surprise and you step back behind the door.

After a little bit, Chan scurries back over to you, holding a small jewelry case with a big stupid smile on his face. You raise an eyebrow. Chan takes a deep breath before speaking. "The reason I've been disappointed every time you said that you couldn't skip with me is because... all those times, I've been meaning to give you something special..." He holds out the jewelry case to you, and opens it revealing a silver necklace engraved with his name on it. You immediately awe at the necklace and put your hand on your heart.

You reach for the necklace. "Chan this is beautiful- you... you got this for me?" you look at him with admiration. He nods while smiling hardly like an idiot. You take the necklace and hold the pendant in your hand that had his name in beautiful writing. You pouted and leaned in for a hug. Chan wrapped his arms around your waist and you wrapped your arms around his neck. "You're the sweetest boy ever..." Chan kissed your neck and pulled away. "Let me put it on for you." You turned around and Chan grabbed the necklace.

He put it around your neck and clasped the necklace to secure it. You turned around and looked at him with a smile. "It's even more beautiful around your neck..." He chuckles and looks at the pendant. You hug him again. "I love you Chan. I'll never take it off." You buried your face in his shoulder. "I love you so much more baby girl." He kisses your head and ruffles his fingers through your hair. You saw something in the corner of your eye, like someone was standing there.

You pull away from Chan and look in the direction. Of course, it was Hannah. And she was snapping a pic of you two with a smile. "Really Hannah?" you chuckle. She points the phone down and looks at you two. "What? I can't snap a picture of my best friend and brother hugging? It's just for memories... carry on!" she holds the phone back up with that same smile. You and Chan giggle and look at each other.

Chan winks at you before pulling you into the bedroom and closing the door, leaving poor Hannah standing there alone.
