The rain was rough, and the fog made it hard to see at a certain distance, but it was comforting, it felt like it was just the two of them, Cole and Kai.

They were sitting in the park, somewhere where it can't rain on them. Kai was looking at his phone, texting someone and smoking a cigarette.

"Well, the others aren't coming," Kai broke the silence ,,they're so boring, oh my god" he said rolling his eyes and closing his phone, now looking at Cole who has been looking at Kai the entire time they've been here. "You sure you aren't freezing?" Kai said, knowing that Cole gave him his hoodie.

"Nah, I'm good don't worry. You sure need it more" He said amused.

"Okay but its freezing cold!"

"You wanted to hang out." Cole said almost a bit confused. Why would he want to go out if its so cold.

"Cus I'm bored." He said closing his eyes and jerking his head back, supporting himself by the wall behind him and sighed as smoke came out of his mouth.

There was silence for a while, so obviously Kai had to say something to keep the energy going and to not turn awkward.
He opened his eyes and now looked at Cole.

,,Hey, aren't you grounded tho? Why did you agree? To hang out, i mean." He said, he is worried about him, it must be tough having a strict parent like Mr. Brookstone, and he can't help but think there is more happening that Cole isn't talking about.

Cole looked somewhere else for a second ,,..Yes, I am grounded, but, I mean, this is more fun anyway." Cole replied.

,,That easy? Just this morning you seemed terrified of being late, how tf are you so chill now?" He threw away his already finished cigarette.

Cole his shrugged him off ,,Eh, I don't know. He won't find out trust me."

Kai nodded. He didn't want to get too much into his business even tho he wants to so much, he wants to know more things about him but he needs to keep it cool.

After that they just started talking about whatever. Turns out Kai is really funny and you know what's the best thing? He talked a lot. He usually doesn't but this time he just started to over explain himself when he asked a question which gave Cole more time to think of a response. I don't know what energy drink Kai drank, but he was the only one keeping things going, making a joke, talk shit, crack another joke, but it started to get dark and the fog made it really hard to see so they knew that they had to get home soon.

,,Shit, I gotta go home. Uh, you can keep the hoodie." Cole said as he got up ,,I know damn well you'll freeze on your way without it."

,,Oh." Kai got up ,,Alright, thanks, I'll give it back to you tomorrow."

They went on their way home and Cole though again about what just happened today, more specific, in the morning. It hurt him that this happened without him being drunk, and his father told him to not come back. Of course he's gonna come back, he's just drunk and doesn't know what he's saying.

...

Can he really go back, or should he use what he said as an excuse to run away and make him feel guilty? Make him suffer his consequences and cry and beg for his son back. But would he even cry or would that make him happier, if he disappeared? Does he really care as much as he says he does? What's his problem, really?

He is infront of his house now, he can see the lights from the living room are still on. He opened the door and quietly got in. He took his shoes off and looked at the couch. His father was asleep, thank God. I bet by in the morning he won't even remember, which is fine.

I just wish he wasn't like this.
I really wish that someday he can feel the same pain that I'm in. I hope that someday he suffers.

I know this is short but I've had a really hard time trying to motivate myself to write or do anything.
I always have a bunch of ideas and I always want to write them down but It's hard putting stuff into words.
I hope you guys liked it.
