"Happy Bathday," Kyle grinned as he stopped right in front of Melina who had bent down to be eye level.
"Hey cutie, why they are absolutely resplendent!" Melina exclaimed with a wide smile before accepting Kyle's hug, his arms wrapping around her neck, his fine blonde hair tickling her bare shoulders, but she didn't care. As she kissed the side of his head, she missed as the cutie in her arms stuck out his tongue at her boyfriend.
Louis made a face back though he couldn't help but wonder about his girlfriend at the same time. So it wasn't just him, she also used her extensive vocabulary even with toddlers.
"I made this," Kyle didn't even separate himself from Melina before taking out a key chain he had made.
"What? Me?" Melina said in shock as she gently held the key chain in her palm, the keychain wasn't the prettiest, it was a rather sloppily made green beaded lizard but she loved it nonetheless. "Ah, thank you, thank you." She picked up Kyle as she also stood up, pecking his cheeks, his nose, his forehead with exaggerated "Muahs" that made the tot laugh. "Sweetest gift ever," Melina kissed his cheek once more, just missing the look of superiority that Louis had to resist sticking his tongue out at.
"Tomotow, can we go get ice seam?" He asked, smiling this time at Melina, showing off his missing tooth.
Melina could only give a half smile though as she brushed back his hair. "Sweetie, I would love to but Louis and I-"
Like that Kyle's smile fell off his lips, his smile drooping into a pout. "But,"
"I'll be back in less than a week, then we can go to my workplace and get ice cream every day." Melina tried to soothe him with a wider smile but Kyle just hugged her neck, not responding.
Louis resisted the urge to awkwardly whistle as Melina tried to keep soothing the blonde tyrant, the key chain hanging loosely on her finger.
"Pomise?" Kyle whispered at last.
"Promise,"
Sighing, Kyle sniffed and nodded before gesturing for Melina to put him down.
"Happy Bithday," He said with another sniff. Then looking up with blazing blue eyes, he stared right at Louis who half smiled, half grimaced. "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!" He yelled, stomping with each claim, then he ran off into the hallway of the complex.
Melina closed her eyes at Kyle's tantrum.
"I told you, he has two faces!" Louis just pointed out, evidence at last that Melina could not deny.
Melina reluctantly opened her one eye after Kyle's tantrum, the breeze briefly blowing the end of her pony tail. "Yeah, we have to work on that."
"We? That kid would probably go all Chucky on me and-" Louis began to say only to get interrupted by Melina opening both eyes in order to glare at him firmly.
"Oh don't be so dramatic," Melina whacked his arm. "Fine though, I, I have to work on that." She corrected. "Let's go drama queen." She just said, tugging him with by pulling on his jacket, causing Louis to jerk.

Louis had to grin as he kissed the back of Melina's head, his right hand lightly grasping her hip while the other held onto the rail of the subway. Looking out, he couldn't help but remember just how they first met and who would have known that one cell phone and his persistence would lead to where they were now. But he would do it all again if it meant so.
