Taylor woke up to an empty bed. She remembers sleeping beside Wynter, but the girl's side of the bed was cold.
She heard soft scratching of nails on the bedroom door, along with soft pants and meows. She stood up to open the door for Wynter's pets, smiling as Mikey jumped up to her while the two dogs ran back down the stairs excitedly upon seeing her.
Taylor followed the dogs down, smiling when she saw Wynter and Wayne arguing over who gets the first batch of pancakes.
"Good morning, you two." She greeted, before Wynter pulled her into a kiss. Wayne gagged playfully before taking the first batch of pancakes and running to the bar counter.
"I saw that, Maximus Wayne." Wynter said as Taylor pulled away from the kiss.
The said boy simply chewed on the pancakes louder, earning a scoff from his older sister.
"You'll get the second batch, baby, cause someone here is acting like he hasn't eaten in a year." Wynter said sarcastically, but a small smile was evident on her face.
Taylor simply hummed and sat on the counter top as Wynter flipped the pancakes.
"Ali, baby, are you... mad at me?" Wynter suddenly asked in almost a whisper.
Taylor looked at her in confusion. "What? Of course not, why would I be?"
"Well, the whole thing with my family the other day..? I don't want to lose you because of them, but I understand if you want to leave."
The blonde scoffed, pulling Wynter to make her stand between her legs. She cupped the younger girl's cheeks and looked directly at her alluring green eyes.
"Nothing your family might do will make me leave, Mau. I'm going out with you, not them. I'm staying, okay? I promise."
Wynter wanted to smile and believe in Taylor's words, but she knew speaking too soon will not do any of them good.
She was about to simply nod when Wayne dropped his fork in shock.
"Mau... I think dad exposed you publicly online." He said shakily. He showed the article on his phone, his eyes wide in shock.
That's how Wynter knew Taylor was not going to fulfill her promise.
Tree came over to Wynter's pent. Bonnie and Clyde were also there.
While Wynter and her manager spoke about what to do with the article, she could hear Tree and Taylor talking in the other room.
She quietly excused herself from Bonnie and walked towards the hallway where the two were speaking.
"You have to distance yourself from her, Taylor. Much better if you fully cut her off. Although you weren't mentioned in the article, being seen with her knowing she's a lesbian will not do your reputation well."
"You want me to just cut her off from my life?"
"Yes."
"She's important to me, Tree! I can't just do that!"
"Yes, you can. If you want to keep your status and your level of fame right now, you have to leave her, Taylor. Are you gonna do it or not?"
"...fine. Okay. I can do that."
Wynter felt sick. She understood Tree only wants what's best for Taylor, but that didn't make it hurt less.
She quickly sat back down onto the couch when she heard the girls' footsteps approaching.
