PERCY'S POV
I trudged towards the Big house in a sour mood. After all, my mother was kidnapped by a man(or was he a monster? Ugly enough to be one. ) who I didn't know who seemed to harbour a grudge against my mom. Voldemort might be from another mythology like Carter and his sister, Sadie. He might be Egyptian. After all, he was using a magic stick.
Lost in my thoughts, I bumped into Chiron on the porch of the Big House. Not literally, thankfully.
"Something wrong, Percy?" He looked at me worriedly. I realised I had a scowl on my face.
"Yep," I said, popping the 'p' "You have no idea." I said darkly. Chiron's worry lines increased. "I have bad news. Can we go inside?"
Chiron nodded. He led me inside to the main room where Seymour was sleeping peacefully. I plopped down on one of the couches and Chiron lowered himself into his wheelchair. I described the entire situation to him, and then told him my suspicions.
Chiron's face seemed to age 50 years over the course of the conversation. Even though he is immortal. You get what I mean.
"Well Percy, I have news for you" That scared me even more than if Chiron said he had no idea what was going on.
"Your mother is a witch."
"A witch?" I asked skeptically. In normal circumstances, my imagination would be running wild, but this was not the time for jokes. "Not a magician? Are you sure?"
"Yes Percy. Absolutely certain." He deadpanned.
He then proceded to explain the existence of wizards. They were believed to have the ability to do magic beacuse Hecate had blessed them a few centuries ago and the ability could be transferred to their offspring. He then explained the war with Voldemort and the attack on Lily and James Potter. Their son survived with only a lightning shaped scar (Respect, man) and was now 15 years old. I also put together that the magic sticks they were using were called wands.
But what he didn't explain what Voldemort had to do with my mother.
"My mother is a Witch. "
"Yes."
"She was kidnapped by one of the most dangerous man in the wizarding world."
"Yes."
"Then I have to go save her!" I erupted. "Besides, how do you know all this stuff?"
"When you dissapeared," I winced. "Your mother had the suspicion it had to do with the wizarding world. She thought Albus Dumbledore had taken you away or worse, kidnapped by Voldemort for revenge. So, she decided to tell me. I also have some kin in the wizarding world. Although, they are not as priveliged as I am" He winced. "Don't tell them I said that."
"Wait," The gears in my brain were turning. I know. I was also surprised when I learned I have a brain. "If mom is a witch, won't I have any magical ability? So, won't I have gotten an acceptance letter from Hogwarts?"
"You did get one Percy. But your mother said it came while you were in boarding school. She declined it for you." I was suddeny very upset. She hid an important part of my life from me.
That moment, I missed her even more.
"Let's put these matters aside. I have to go save my mom!" I already lost valuable time understanding what was going on. I didn't want to be delayed any longer.
"Percy. You can't go without a prophecy." He said in a soothing tone.
"Then get Rachel here!" I half yelled. I did not want to be soothed. As if on cue, Rachel entered the room.
