[CHAPTER 6] Useless???

Thunderstorm is used to the feeling of being needed. As the eldest, he's always ready to give it all for his little brothers. Irascible that he is, he knew deep down he's one of those doting brothers. Were his pride lower itself to the ground, he'd probably coo at his brothers literally doing the most average things of all.

...that's so embarrassing, hopefully no one fully realises how much he adores his little brothers.

He's used to having his brothers fight for him, tugging his sleeves and begging him to be on their side, pointing at a shop with pleading eyes to use his money, basically whatever you could think of little brothers could exploit their oldest brother. It's a family dynamic by now.

Except as what Quake pretty much agreed on, said stable dynamic is destroyed.

He's in a daze of confusion when Thorn pushes him inside the house from drying their clothes.

Another dumbfounded look when Cyclone ushers him out from the laundry room.

And another one when Blaze said he can watch the TV instead of washing the dishes.

Those... those are his jobs?!

He knew he liked to complain about them being useless burdens, but– but!

...what is he supposed to do now?!

"Ah, Abang?" His little brother (the golden-eyed one) says lightly, peering from his shoulder. He's sitting on the couch, facing the TV. Thunderstorm gaped at him from the doorframe to the living room, "Kicked out as well?"

"...what happened." He says, feeling a bit like his soul got sucked out.

Quake sighs, "Not sure. Those three said I need to relax or something..." He holds up two fingers from each hand to quote.

"They're so weird." The older one trembles, sitting beside his brother on the couch. He slumps like a man dying.

Quake gives him a pitying smile, patting his shoulder for comfort, "Right?"

"Oh good, you two realised too." Another voice calls their attention back to the doorframe, where a pale faced Solar is staring back at them, "I got kicked out of my own lab."

His older brothers exchanged a glance, "For?" Quake prompted.

"...Cyclone is holding a mop."

Silence reigns in the living room.

Their family dynamic is never going to be salvaged at this point. Thunderstorm is horrified to realise he misses it when the troublemakers are still useless as ever.

Ice felt like Blaze is slowly distancing himself from him. It doesn't seem like Blaze is doing it consciously, perhaps he's just been too close with the other two troublemakers that he just kind of forgot about Ice.

To be honest, this wasn't anything new nor is it anything offensive. People only have two hands, it's alright.

Though Blaze hadn't done the things Blaze usually does, and it's getting on Ice's nerves.

The twins may look like a pair who didn't get along the most, what with all their opposite personalities. One needs to remember physics' rule for magnets, opposites attract, the seven brothers knew they're the closest one despite what their first impression would make. The triplets are finding that time is a difficult thing to get to actually spend some time together, while surprisingly, Thorn and Solar hate each other's guts (in an affectionate way, but seriously those two butted heads every time they get left alone).
