Thorn has a lot of hobbies, whether gardening, reading, or playing, they're all activities he can be found doing pretty frequently. Lately, the bar drops because he finds himself a new hobby he didn't think he'll even like.
Chores had been commonly shined with negative light, Thorn himself could see why. Spending energy to do things every day routinely sounds so tiring, even more troublesome doing so for six teenage boys. Yet here he is, rubbing a towel to the window of his and Solar's bedroom for the third time this week.
Cleaning, he finds out, is pretty therapeutic. He hadn't realised it before, but cleaning is like gardening with a whole lot more movements and less dirty soil to deal with. Both expend the same amount of energy, make him sweat and feel healthy, most importantly, it leaves him feeling happy and satisfied. Instead of getting rewarded with the freshly watered view of his beautiful flowers, he's given a sight of sparkly clean rooms. It coaxes a happy sigh out of him.
"It's reflecting..." He hears the other owner of this bedroom mutter suddenly, visor lenses slipping down his nose as he peered down to the floor that proves his sentence to be true.
"Yep, like you~" Thorn winks at his brother for the kick of it, laughing at the expected response of Solar's gag.
"You didn't mess with the stacks of books in my desk, right?" Solar sighs out, "I need those for my projects."
"I didn't!" The older huffs, "I put it on the third row of your shelf!"
Solar hums vaguely, walking to the side of the room where white dominates the colour green, and the new development, the slightly messier part of the bedroom. Thorn is in what Solar calls a 'cleaning frenzy', something he'd seen a few times on Quake or on rare occasions, Thunderstorm.
One thing he'd noticed after observing closely on the new version of his twin and comparing it to the old one he's more familiar with, he realised that Thorn hadn't exactly shown true dislike towards the act of cleaning.
It's not like he can blame Thorn for not doing any contribution to the housework however, Solar is aware he himself only does his chores once every five blue moons. Quake and Thunderstorm tend to hog all the work to themselves, something instilled ever since three years ago, where a silly mistake ends up with one of them in the hospital.
Solar winced thinking about the accident. He'd been quite small, he's pretty sure it's because of a slippery piece of something on the stairs and that led to one of his older brothers to crash down the stairs and break a bone or something?
Ugh, he's glad he can't remember it, thinking Thunderstorm witnessing such a bloody scene at eleven must've been traumatising. Wasn't even a joke, he's quite aware his oldest brother and the third eldest had taken it themselves to help out with house chores ever since their neglective parents left them alone for real.
Perhaps that's why they look so uncomfortable being forced to do nothing in their home. They're always been the pillars of this home that they feel disoriented when their roles are taken. Most would take this a great time to relax, but Solar deduced some kind of trauma is probably instilled to their minds and thus associating chores not being done by them as some kind of omen for bad luck.
He's lucky he'd been out with Cyclone at that time, and that his little brain couldn't remember things properly yet.
His brothers being in danger would probably put him in a catatonic shock.
Huh, oh wow, topics get dark this easily?
Solar shook his head and slapped his cheeks, focus!
This is rather concerning, though. Something in their minds convinced them they're being unneeded, Solar is observant and he could see that. Should he bring this up with the trio that had been driving them all crazy? Maybe they're all due a nice communicative dinner time?
Solar himself feels uneasy by this.
It should be a good thing, right? However slim hope it is, Solar really hopes that's the truth.

Cyclone discovers that for all he hates physics with all his guts, he loves space. The idea of it was pretty boring at first, all he did in school is just about planets, stars and the solar system. Simply put, it was so basic it didn't really catch his attention.
Reading more though, proves that his obsessive side is apparently now attached to the topic that is astronomy.
When he realises the library that's inside Solar's lab has books about space, he snatched his mop and began to clean the dusty lab, sat down and read through all of them.
He didn't exactly hate studying like Blaze, but that doesn't mean he likes having his brain feel putty. Space, on the other hand, makes him feel excited, and makes him feel like a child again.
It's a whole world out there, and he hadn't noticed it!
He almost wants to resent his own school for not covering such cool topics. Who cares about the Earth's moon when he can study quasi-satellites?! They're so much cuter! Like Earth's own Phobos and Deimos except smaller!
Thorn looked at him in barely concealed annoyance when he once again rambled about space for the next thirty minutes about a week ago.
See, Thorn loves space, that's why he kept bugging the younger! Hehe.
Blaze is tolerant in listening to him, albeit a bit detached. But he listened to him oversimplifying the life of a star in an aim to explain what a sunspot and plasma blasts. He was rewarded with a head pat and a chocolate drink.
Hm, it's a bit weird to get treated like a kid by his younger brother, but he's used to it with Quake. What makes Blaze different?
See, Blaze is quickly becoming Cyclone's favourite!
He adores space, adores the books in the lab and its connected small library. Neglecting parents he had, they definitely have money. Not that Cyclone cared about that, he just needs someone to ask whether or not Ceres had been the Planet X searched by that one guy!
Like, poor dwarf planet. Everyone knows Pluto when talking about demoted planets, but does everyone forget about Ceres?! That guy took that honour years before!
Cyclone huffs to himself, closing the magazine talking about celestial bodies' magnitude numbers.
He needs a victim to unwillingly listen to his rambling about the sun again.

I have a friend who's super obsessed with space and I happen to be one of their victims......... Do I need to know that the sun's corona layer is 300x hotter than its surface..... no i don't.....
I can just see cyclone being obsessed with space because it = to the sky?? Does anyone see my vision!!!!
