(Lunar is given a body, but everyone thought he was a girl, so he was given a female body. He decides to come out to Monty first, hoping he'd understand his distress.)

[This is before Monty came out as genderfluid, he goes by he/him in this one-shot]

~~~~~~~~~~~
Lunar blamed himself for not being vocal about his gender. It was what led to him getting a female body, being called Luna, being referred as Sun and Moon's sister rather than their brother. It had gotten to the point that Lunar felt physically sick at being called a female.
He couldn't handle it any longer, but he was too nervous to approach Sun or Moon about his issues.
He needed to tell someone though!
Lunar settled on telling Monty about his problem, that's what made him venture to Gator Golf. He almost wanted to turn back a couple times, but when he got to Gator Golf he decided he wasn't going to turn back. He took a deep breath and ventured deep into the golf course.
"Monty?" He called, he rarely ever used his voice due to dysphoria but he knew he couldn't find Monty otherwise.
"Up here, kid!" He looked up to see Monty on top of a banner as he leaped down to join Lunar, "What's up, Luna?"
Lunar.
Lunar was his name.
He looked up to Monty, "I have... something to tell you..."
Monty hummed in acknowledgment as Lunar was encouraged to continue.
"Um... So, you know how I... I mean... I just..."
Great, now he was stuttering.
Monty put a hand on Lunar's shoulder, "Hey, kid. Deep breaths."
As Monty and Lunar took deep breaths with each other, Lunar felt a little calmer.
"Monty... For a long time, I've been hiding this... From Eclipse, from you, from Sun, from Moon.... From everyone..." Lunar looked away, taking a deep breath, "I'm not the girl everyone thinks I am... In fact... I'm..." Lunar paused before finally blurting out:
"I'm not a girl." Lunar said, "I'm a boy, my name is Lunar and not Luna."
Monty seemed taken aback by this with his eyes wide, but then he smiled, "You actually had me worried, I thought it was something like your back on Eclipse's side."
"What? No! Never!" Lunar said,
"Anyways, he/him pronouns?" Monty asked, Lunar nodded.
"Sun and Moon don't know, I... would like to tell them myself..." Lunar said,
"I respect that, Lunar. I'll keep it on the hush." Monty said, wrapping his arm around Lunar's shoulders, "Nice to have another guy to talk to!"
Lunar smiled, "Thank you, Monty."
