(Eclipse finds out they're non-binary, they're excited to tell Sun)

[This Eclipse is Solar, the Sun is their Sun.]

~~~~~~~~~~
Eclipse was fronting for Sun at the time of the daycare hours, Moon didn't really notice anything it seemed. He told Eclipse (or well... Sun) to handle to front desk and let kids and their parents in. It was going good until...
"Oh, hey Alexis!" Eclipse greeted in his best Sun voice.
"Uh... Mr. Sun? I have something to tell you.." The little girl seemed anxious and Eclipse left the front desk and kneeled in front of her,
"Sure! What is it?" Eclipse asked,
"I'm... I'm not a girl. I'm not a boy either. I would like to be called Lex and use they/them." They said,
Eclipse blinked, confused, but he didn't question the child. It wasn't his place to tell them how to feel.
"Okay, Lex! Arts and crafts will begin shortly!" Eclipse said, Lex smiled brightly and ran off.
As the day went by, Eclipse thought about Lex. Or well, not exactly Lex, but the feeling of being neither a boy or a girl. What exactly did that mean? How was that possible?
After the day was done, Eclipse was told by Sun that he was still not feeling the best and he needed some more rest. He took this time to research this, going on Sun's computer.
'What does it mean to be neither a boy or a girl?'
The first highlighted word was: 'Non-binary'.
Eclipse kept reading: Non-binary people are those who identify as a gender that is neither man nor woman or who are not men or women exclusively.
Eclipse tilted his head and kept reading, finding articles and stories about people who were non-binary.
Weirdly enough, one of the stories resonated with him...
Eclipse had never seen himself as exactly male, but didn't feel female at all.
Was he... non-binary?
But he didn't mind he/him pronouns?
Eclipse drummed his fingers on the desk, shutting down the computer after exiting the tabs he brought up. He went to his charging station and shut off.
___
Eclipse opened his eyes to his mind space, noticing that Sun was nearby and sleeping soundly. Eclipse thought more about the 'non-binary' topic and tried it out.
My name is Eclipse, I use they/them and he/him...
That made Eclipse feel... almost lighter!
They smiled, walking over to Sun with a pep in their step. Eclipse started to gently shake Sun, who groaned and opened his eyes, smiling at Eclipse.
"Morning, Eclipse." Sun said gently, opening his arms and Eclipse snuggled into it.
"Sun? I think I'm non-binary." Eclipse said, he could feel Sun chuckle.
"I'm glad you're finding yourself. I'm proud of you Clipsey." Sun said, "Any pronoun changes?"
"I use he/him and they/them... Is that okay?"
"Of course, some non-binary people use she/they or he/they." Sun said, snuggling Eclipse like they were a big teddy bear. The two started to drift to sleep, Eclipse happy that they were accepted by their brother.
