"She seems to be stable, her vitals are fine, which means she'll probably wake up soon enough. There's nothing to worry about, Mr. Saltzman, your daughter will be alright,"

"Thank you, Elissa. I appreciate your work," Alaric responded with a tired voice. At this point, he's been up past midnight alredy, he managed to get Josie to the school's infirmary a couple of minutes after MG's call of distress. After minutes of constantly evaluating the brunette, the doctors came to the conclusion that she'll be alright. Only having suffered a minor hit to the side of her head and hopefully being able to wake up after the pain killers start to wear off.

"It's time for me to go, but Mr. Saltzman, if you notice anything in the meantime, do not hesitate to let me know, ok,"

As the doctor exited the room, Hope Lizzie and Mg made their way into it. Having previously gone to their respective rooms in order to shower and freshen up much to their dismay, and whit a lot of persuasion from Dr. Saltzman, seeing as they didn't want to leave their friend alone. Each of them taking a seat somewhere in the room, while Hope opted for staying up by the foot of the bed wearing a serious expression.

"Dad....How is she?," asked lizzie

"She's stable. The nurse said it was minor and that she should be waking up after the medication they've been administrating starts wearing off......she'll be fine, lizz bear, u girls are strong. She'll be fine," Alaric responded while looking at his other daughter.

"And mom? Where is she?,"

"Your mom is taking care of some things. I assured her I would deal with this, but as soon as she's done, she will be here to see your sister," Alaric responded.

Silence surrounded the room for a couple of minutes. There was a sense of relief now that they knew Josie was gonna be fine. It felt like they could breathe a little better now. After a while, it was MG who broke the silence.

"Where's Kaleb and Jed?," MG asked, looking slightly confused. It wasn't like any of them to just disappear when a member of the squad was down.

"Their off doing a perimeter check, I wanna make sure this thing isn't out there still," stated the tribrid with a cold voice that led to understand the girl was still angry and frustrated. Much like her parents, she didn't take it lightly when people she cared about were hurt.

"That's smart........dangerous, but smart," lizzie stated, looking tired. They all needed a good night of sleep.......or two at least jaja.

"Speaking of this thing, me and dorian were doing some more research before MG called me earlier, and we might have found some stuff. We are still not entirely sure, but we are thinking this thing could be some kind of harbinger for something greater. Let me explain, the first time he made an appearance, I remember him saying that we were, or are, pawns in a greater game. Ive heard my fare share of prophecies, so to me this hole thing sounds a lot like him delivering a warning, if he really wanted to hurt somebody I have a feeling he would have, I mean, he did get trough our protective wards the first time,"

"What are you saying?" Hope questioned impatiently.

"Im saying that maybe we've been so focused on him that we haven't realized........what if he's not the big threat? What if he's actually trying to warn us about something greater. He never attacked us on both occasions. Only retaliated when you attacked him. And to my knowledge, before you did, he was just about to repeat this prophecy slatch warning he's being going on about,"

"Are you really trying to say that the thing responsible for your daughter being on this bed right now is not evil and that it might just be trying to deliver a warning? You must be drunk doctor Saltzman, cus you sure sound crazy," Hope stated, looking at him incredulously.
