Vincent woke up the next day, a Saturday (Forgive me, I just forget what days I've said by now). He got up from his bed, he was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and black sweatpants so he didn't bother to change. He yawned as he walked out to the hallway when he heard the doorbell ring. He sighed and walked to the living room then to the door. He opened it, surprised to see Rody. "Hey..." He slowly and quietly said. He didn't expect Rody to come over after leaving as soon as Rody knew it was Vincent that was the 'woman' he liked. "What-"
"Vincent..." Rody furrowed his eyebrows and crossed his arms, cutting off Vincent's sentence. "I am so sorry for running out on you last night, I was just unsure of what to think so I just left." He sighed, looking down. "I was confused, mostly upset because I felt like I was being played and... embarrassed since you knew I liked that version of you but-" He paused and looked back up at Vincent. "Is that version of you, the one I've been seeing, who you really are? Like is that you being yourself?"
Vincent went quiet, listening to Rody who sounded like he was ranting mostly. He listened though. "It's okay, I understand what I told you was a huge deal-" He then heard Rody's explanation of why he ran out but he didn't blame Rody from running out on him. He drank so much they kicked him out of the bar, not his best night. Rody got embarrassed? That's not something Vincent expected to hear. He furrowed his eyebrows. "That..." He looked away from Rody's eyes even though Rody wasn't making eye contact. "That was me being myself, yes... that's what I truly like doing and who I am. I was myself with you."
Rody sighed when Vincent said it was truly Vincent being himself, smiling softly. "Then why didn't you be yourself around me normally? Like at work?" He tilted his head to the side.
Vincent bit his lower lip then replied, "I didn't know how'd you react to me if I did, before you knew it was me." He shrugged.
"Is that why you suggested that date idea? To bring you back to my house and get to know you more? Is that what you wanted?" Rody asked, moving his head straight.
Vincent hesitantly nodded. "I thought that would be a good time to admit who I was if we did that..." He shrugged then crossed his arms.
"Well, you could've told me from the beginning." Rody moved a hand out and put it on Vincent's upper arm, rubbing his thumb against it. "I would have still liked you either way..." He admitted.
Vincent looked down at Rody's hand on his upper arm then back at Rody after Rody admitted that, raising his eyebrows slightly. "You-" He paused. "You would?" This was a rollercoaster of emotions for Vincent, and Rody he assumed.
Rody stepped closer, his body being close to Vincent's now. He furrowed his eyebrows again and smiled more. Moving his other hand to Vincent's cheek. "Yes, I could care less about what gender you are or the fact you're a cross-dresser." He chuckled softly. "I liked who you were but, if I'm being honest, your looks was another part. You pull off those dresses well." He lightly teased.
Vincent didn't know how to react with Rody getting closer to him and touching him like this. One of Rody's hands on his upper arm while the other was on his cheek. He raised his eyebrows higher at what Rody said, calming down after the little teasing bit Rody said which made him smile. "Thanks Rody..." His voice barely above a whisper.
Rody looked down at Vincent's lips when Vincent smiled. "Of course Vincent..." He whispered back. He leaned in closer and gently captured Vincent's lips with his, turning into a slow and gentle kiss.
