Anthony, feeling a mix of disappointment and urgency, reluctantly began walking back home, his thoughts now consumed by whatever task awaited him. He glanced back briefly at Mackenzie and offered a small wave before continuing on his way. Anthony arrived at his house; his mind preoccupied with thoughts of what his mother needed him for. As he stepped through the door, he was immediately greeted by the sound of his mother's voice calling out to him from the kitchen.

Anthony's mother glanced up from the kitchen counter as he entered the house. A curious expression settled across her face as she asked, "Anthony, remember when Betty asked me what happened to the mysterious creatures that used to inhabit this town?" Anthony nodded in affirmation, recalling the conversation with his mother. "Yeah, I remember you talking about it," he replied. "You mentioned that we'd learn more about it when we get older, right?"

Anthony's mother, her voice warm and gentle, instructed him to fetch his siblings and bring them downstairs. "Anthony, dear," she said softly. "Please call your siblings down. I have something important to discuss with all of you." Anthony made his way to his siblings, urgency and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Hey, you guys," he called out. "Mom wants us all downstairs. She says she needs to talk to us about something important."

Rain, his voice laced with playful teasing, joked, "Did Mom finally figure out who clogged the toilet? I told you it was Carter, Amy!" Amy let out a chuckle at the accusation, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Anthony, shaking his head at the joke, quickly interjected, "No, no. It's not about the toilet, guys. Mom says it's something important. Let's head downstairs and see what she wants to talk to us about." Anthony led his siblings downstairs, the air filled with a mix of curiosity and intrigue. As they entered the living room, they find their mother sitting comfortably on the sofa, her gaze turning towards them. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the siblings waited for her to speak.

The mother's voice resonated through the room, capturing the attention of her children. "Now that you're all here," she began, her tone serious yet gentle. "There's something I need to talk to you about. It's regarding the Cosmic family." The mother continued, her voice carrying a mix of wisdom and anticipation. "The Cosmic Family was more than just a name," she began. "They were the very gods who ruled the vast cosmic realm. They were worshipped and celebrated for their incredible powers and benevolence." The siblings listened attentively, their eyes widening in awe at the newfound knowledge. The mother's voice took on a somber tone as she delved into the darker aspects of the cosmic family's history. "Humans and creatures thrived in harmony, believing in the benevolence of the gods. However, greed and misinformation spread like wildfire. Humans began whispering untrue rumors about the gods and the creatures, inciting fear and division." The room fell silent as the implication of her words hung heavy in the air.

The mother's eyes grew distant, her voice tinged with a mix of sadness and hope. "Faced with the consequences of human greed, the mother made a courageous decision," she explained. "She sent her youngest child to a family she trusted, hoping to protect what little harmony remained." The siblings listened intently, their hearts filled with a sense of foreboding and curiosity. The mother's voice trembled as she delivered the devastating news. "The humans, blinded by their own foolishness, launched an invasion on the planet. Their relentless assault left the once peaceful home of the Cosmic Family in ruins." The siblings gasped, their eyes widening in shock and disbelief. The weight of the revelation hung heavily in the air, leaving them speechless. Anthony, his thoughts swirling with questions and curiosity, raised his hand. The mother nodded, silently signaling for him to ask his question.

"What happened to the child?" he asked. The mother's gentle smile spread across her face as she responded to Anthony's question. "The young child," she began, her voice soft yet filled with wonder, "survived and grew up, passing on their incredible powers and abilities to their own children, ensuring their safety and continuity." The siblings exchanged curious glances, pondering the magnitude of their family's lineage. The children, their minds filled with a mix of fascination and wonder, collectively uttered a chorus of "Oooohs!" Their eyes sparkled with a sense of awe and excitement as the revelation of their cosmic heritage sank in.

As the mother finished speaking, Anthony found himself captivated by the story. He sat there, his thoughts racing with intrigue and questions, eager to know more. Sensing his interest, his mother nodded gently towards the children. "Alright, children, you can return to your rooms now," she said, her voice filled with warmth. Anthony, his face betraying his hunger for knowledge, couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at the interruption.

Anthony bombarded his mother with a flurry of questions about the mysterious child. "What's his name?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity. "Is he still watching over his children or great great grandchildren now? Did he ever tell anyone about his powers?" His mother, taken aback by the rapid-fire questioning, tried to calm him down, her tone filled with gentle humor. Anthony's mother, her patience gently worn thin, began to explain, answering each of his questions with wisdom and clarity. As she spoke, Anthony listened intently, his interest in the story growing exponentially. Once she had finished speaking, she gently nudged him towards the stairs, her tone warm yet firm. "Alright, honey, it's time for bed now," she instructed, her voice carrying a subtle undercurrent of exhaustion and amusement.

Anthony, his mind still replaying the story in his head, reluctantly headed up the stairs towards his room. With every step, his thoughts swirled and buzzed with excitement, contemplating the newfound knowledge about his family's cosmic lineage. As he reached his room and closed the door behind him, he couldn't help but feel the weight of the untold secrets and powers that now seemed to linger in the air. As Anthony stood in his room, his thoughts returning to the words of his mother, he pondered the significance of being worthy of the cosmic powers. His mind raced with questions. What did it mean to be worthy? How could he prove himself worthy of such incredible abilities?

Anthony climbed into his bed, his body sinking into the comforting embrace of the sheets. He closed his eyes, the events of the day replaying vividly in his mind. As he lay there, the weight of the information he had just learned settled upon him, causing his mind to race with thoughts and possibilities.
