Lucas had been heading out, his backpack in hand, when he suddenly found himself face to face with Henry.
"Oh, hey bro," Lucas said, his voice betraying a hint of nervous energy. He attempted a casual smile, trying to feign nonchalance. Henry's eyebrow shot up as he looked at Lucas curiously, questioning his brother's intentions.
"Where are you off to?" he inquired, his voice betraying a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. Lucas shifted uncomfortably under Henry's gaze. He hadn't expected to be questioned like this, and his answer came out a bit defensively. "Oh, uh, I'm just gonna go hang out with some friends," he replied, avoiding eye contact.
Henry narrowed his eyes at Lucas's evasiveness, sensing there was more to his brother's plans than he was letting on. He knew that the only times Lucas ever went out were either for shopping or to hang out with Anthony. "are you going out with Anthony?" Henry inquired again. Lucas fidgeted slightly under Henry's gaze, feeling his brother's suspicion. He took a deep breath, trying to come up with a believable excuse.
"Uh, yeah, I'm heading out with Anthony," Lucas admitted, his voice a bit sheepish. Trying to cover up his initial anxiety, Lucas added quickly, "Yeah, um, we're just going out for something to eat." He fiddled with the strap of his backpack, still feeling a bit uneasy under Henry's watchful eye. Henry let out a sigh, not fully convinced that Lucas was being entirely truthful, but he decided to give his brother the benefit of the doubt.
"Alright," he said, his tone softening a bit. "Just stay safe, and be back by six, got it?" Lucas nodded quickly, secretly relieved that Henry seemed to have bought his story.
"Yeah, got it," he replied, trying to sound as casual as possible. Lucas shifted his backpack on his shoulder and gave Henry a small wave. "See you later, bro." Lucas walked a bit further until he reached a quiet, secluded alleyway, making sure no one was around to witness his next move. The area was empty, and he took a moment to glance around, ensuring he was truly alone.
Lucas, in the privacy of the alleyway, reached into his backpack and pulled out a peculiar device. With a determined press of a button, a portal materialized in front of him, its swirling and shimmering edges indicating its otherworldly nature. As Lucas stepped through the portal, the transition transformed his appearance. His skin took on a light blue hue, his hair became a striking shade of dark greenish blue, with a galaxy-like pattern, and his eyes now had pitch-black sclera with brilliant blue pupils. An unusual sparkle-shaped marking adorned each eye, adding to his unique appearance.
Lucas' gaze lifted towards the vastness above, taking in the breathtaking view of the galaxy. Stars glittered in the distance, while comets streaked across the sky in a mesmerizing dance. The greenish-blue hue of the celestial backdrop created an otherworldly and magical atmosphere, making the scene surreal and captivating.
With a graceful movement, Lucas crouched down, extending his pure white wings. They fluttered majestically as he propelled himself into the air, lifting off with ease. As he ascended, Lucas soared through the galaxy, moving with purpose and direction, as though he had a specific destination in mind. Lucas continued his flight, propelling himself westward. He manipulated his wings effortlessly, the rhythmic flaps carrying him skillfully through the cosmic expanse. The vastness of the galaxy stretched before him, and somewhere in the distance, he could faintly make out the destination he was heading towards.
Feeling the cool cosmic breeze against his skin, Lucas expertly followed a nearby comet. As it began to descend, he adjusted his flight path to match its trajectory. The comet careened through the galaxy, and Lucas stayed close behind, his wings beating in synchronicity with the comet's downward path.
