Lucas anxiously tapped his foot as he stood with Lynia, Henry, and Mackenzie at the park. They were all waiting for Anthony to join them, each of them engaged in idle chatter to pass the time. Anthony huffed and panted as he finally arrived at the park, slightly out of breath from running. He approached the group with a sheepish smile, apologizing for his tardiness.
Lucas looked at Anthony, a smirk forming on his face. "You mean you overslept again?" he teased, knowing his friend's tendency to hit snooze one too many times. Anthony chuckled sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, you could say that." he said, his nervous laugh betraying his attempt to downplay it.
Lynia spoke up "By the way whats up with your eye?" she asked. Anthony perked up and stuttered nervously a bit, until Mackenzie chimed in "He said he was in a bike problem." "He doesn't have a bike." Lynia said in confusion. "He does now." Mackenzie shrugged, as she sat down at a nearby bench.
The five friends hung out at a lot of places. At the book store, at a boba shop, and at the aquarium. They then went to the mall. As Lynia and Mackenzie were looking for clothes, and Henry and Lucas looked for new headphones, Anthony was looking for candy, but his head started hurting again. Anthony held the left side of his head where the star was. "What's wrong now..." Anthony whispered. Lucas noticed. "Andy, you ok?" He said with concern.
"N-Nothing I uh..." Anthony thought. "I need to go to the restroom!" He then dashed out of the store. The other four stood in silence. "Is the bathroom his best friend?" Henry ask in annoyance. "Maybe he's just sick or something." Lynia said to Henry. Anthony rushed to the bathroom slamming the door behind him, and taking off the eye patch. The star wasn't red, it was purple.
"What's up with you now..." Anthony said, with a bit of annoyance. Silence. "Your such a bother. Why me? Why pick me of all-" "Door." Anthony jumped at the mysterious voice calling out. He looked around to find the source of it. "...Pardon?" Anthony said in confusion as he kept looking around. "Go to the door." The mysterious voice called out, but with a different voice. Anthony hesitated. He didn't trust whoever or whatever that was or whatever and whoever is at the door. He slowly started walking towards the door. He gently opened the door and behind it was a portal. A swirling vortex of shimmering purple energy materialized out of thin air, its edges shimmering and pulsing with a soft, otherworldly glow. The air around the portal seemed to distort, creating a strange, almost hypnotizing effect. Anthony was shocked. The portal was the least thing he would expect.
He heard the voice again. "Go in." They said. Anthony looked up in confusion. "H-Hey I'm not going in some strange portal," He said with a bit of anger as his little antenna heart shaped into a down scribble like line. "I don't even know what's on the other side!" Anthony continued to shout. "Trust us." The voice, well voices said. Well one said it with more aggression and anger, and the other said it with more sweetness and not uncoerced. Anthony felt skeptical about this but he started walking towards the glowing, purple portal. Stepping through the portal, Anthony felt a sudden shift in the air pressure. It was as if the very fabric of reality was folding around him as he passed through the portal's shimmering, purple surface. He closed his eyes, feeling a slight sense of disorientation from the otherworldly experience. Anthony's eyes slowly fluttered open as the portal released him. He found himself floating down, his feet gently landing on a surface that felt oddly weightless.
As he stabilized himself, his gaze fell upon two figures standing nearby. The first was a petite yet stunning girl with green skin and yellowish-green antennas, her smile and wave warmly welcoming. The second figure was a tall and imposing person, his face adorned with numerous eyes, dressed in a lavish galaxy-themed suit. Despite his initial surprise, Anthony couldn't help but be captivated by the breathtaking scene unfolding before him. He floated in space, surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of comets streaking past and the twinkling, glowing stars that filled the night sky. The air around him was neither hot nor cold, creating an odd yet almost soothing sensation.
