Makenzi took her shaky hands grabbing her phone calling her friends. Every ring felt like forever. They were together right now someone had to pick up. Finally DD answered the phone.

"AYY YA- yo.. makenzi what"
"please meet me at the hospital, all of yall hurry" makenzi managed to say through tears
"YO LETS GO NOW" you could hear dd scream before the phone hung up

Next makenzi called her mother. She placed the phone on the bed as she used all her might to pull darrian up.

"yes baby?" angel answered
"mom darrian is passed out, he been doing all type of drugs ma, and he can't leave me mommy he can't go, help" she cried
"okay baby ykw i'm going to meet you at the hospital. Get a cold rag put it around him then take him to the car. Make sure it's cool, he doesn't need to overheat."
"ok"
"it's going to be okay, i love you" she said hanging up

Makenzi got darrian off the ground and somewhat on her back so she could carry him. She brought him to her car and layed him on his side in the backseat. She turned on cold air before shutting the door and running back in the house. She got a rag from his closet and a refrigerated water bottle pouring that all over the rag. She grabbed her stuff and ran back to the car. The girl with her twitching hands tried her best to be gentle with placing the rag in the crook of his neck. she then shut the door and sat in the drivers seat. She called Gi and told her what was going on, gi said she'd be there late cause something at work she really couldn't leave for or her position would be taken and loosing money isn't another burden their small family needed.

Makenzi swerved through the roads at the highest speed she could do. She didn't give a fuck who was in front of her but they weren't going to slow her down from getting to that hospital. She made a sharp turn into the parking lot and all her friends knew it was her from the car to the distressed way of driving. She parked and quickly un buckled her seat belt. She stepped out the car opening the back seat door. She checked his heart rate and it was still going but his check moved up and down fast like his breathing was getting short.

Makenzi started to panick.

"kenzi kenzi kenzi" notti grabbed the girl hugging her as he was the one running towards the car

He looked at his best friend since kindergarten layed out in the seat.

He said he was okay.. why would he lie?

The girls came around makenzi allowing dd and notti to pick the boy up and rush inside the hospital.

"no no no, yall i gotta go in" makenzi said trying to follow them
"girl you got to calm down first"
"i can't, m- my" makenzi was breathing hard
"oh my god" makenzi looked at the sky trying to slow down before she had a panic attack which wouldnt help at all
"cm here" jamora hugged the girl tightly and the rest joined in.

Makenzi felt her body start to calm down. Her tense muscles relaxed. Her breathing soothed out.

"makenzi.. it's fine. your fine" mora spoke after hugging for forever
"darrian is going to be fine" she said rubbing the girls hair
