The door creaked open. Darrian noticed makenzi walk in. Her hair was freshly done and she looked genuinely happy. She had her car keys in her hand. She let out a sigh before looking up at the boy sitting up in the bed. Her eyes widened, she dropped everything in her hands and ran towards him. They attactched to each other in a second.

"i'm so sorry." makenzi said as she felt herself getting gradually emotional
"no no kenzi it isn't you fault"
"it is, you don't deserve none of this, you should literally hate me" makenzi said still wrapped around darrian, he didn't mind cause he didn't want to let go either.

"no no mami, i didn't know it would happen it wasn't you, i'm up now it's okay" darrian rubbed her back as the girl broke down in his arms

"i was so scared d, were you gonna leave me?" she buried herself in the crook of her neck

"nah, calm down kenz, it's okay" he looked at her and started wiping her tears

It was silent for a second. They stared at each other for a while. Taking in every single thing about the other as if they didn't already know it was there. Darrian was analyzing her pretty face, she looked less tired and just so free without him, this made his stomach turn in a way he hadn't felt.

"have you been feeling better" ddot spoke finally
"uh yeah" she sat back in a chair next to the bed
"i'm glad you did what you did, seeing you happy better than anything" he tried his best to give a positive smile but he wanted to be selfish. He was also very confused.

"what made you come here"
"i've been staying here, i'm the one that found you d.."
"makenzi you saw me like that.. yo i- is that why you said it's your fault?"
she nodded her head
"kenzi im not gon lie, it was about you, the fault isn't you it's me, i did the drugs and i can't take dat back" he said
"i know but- no kenzi" he cut her off

"the fault is me, you wouldn't have left if things didn't happen at that party WHICH it didn't, i was trying to explain that but so much happened"
"and like you was angry with me and i didn't know what to do and i had no choice but to go, next thing i knew i was blocked and makenzi i didn't know what to do with myself, i need you i really do.." he vented, she sat there and let him do it

"then what happened" her voice was stern , how can someone accidentally wrap their arms around someone's waist?

"she came up to me starting talking, took my hands wrapped them around her and sat on me, i kicked her off of me but whoever caught that photo way to fast, you can ask dd and notti how i pushed that bitch"

"makenzi you probably hate me cause it sound like bullshit but it's true, i didn't mean for anything to happen"

"i should have let you talk that day"
"listen no, i shouldn't have tried to push to much over on you, you really my priority"
"d that's not good"
"i know.. but i'm telling the truth, makenzi i still love you, i understand in that month if you lost feelings but i didn't, no matter what i went through deep down i still was fucking in love wit you"

Makenzi started crying when she remembered she had basically cheated. That night she thought darrian would have given up, the talk would be pointless and all, but that was her drunken mind. She placed her head on the bed.
